When is the true trough reading?

Hey fellas,

Still playing with doses, tweaking, etc. I am doing E3D injection frequency. 50mg E3D for a total of 112 a week.

Anyone have solid data about the actual trough, vs what most of us perceive? To be specific, I injected Wednesday morning. Went and had labs Saturday morning, 72 hours later, and injected immediately when I got home from the labs. Is that reading the true trough? As in, does the rate of absorption of the new injection meet or surpass the prior injections which are on the way out, so as soon I inject, levels start rising again?

I know I know... not necessary to know with such precision, but I am just curious. You guys play in high numbers like troughs of 1000... I am looking at a trough reading of 650. Just curious if it gets even lower or if that injection right after the bloodwork starts immediately upping levels again.

Thanks!
Jim

Interesting question. The answer hinges on if the ester confers a steady time-release property to the medication or some sort of time-delay. The assumption has always been that it is the former, and in that case the trough is just before injection (as you assumed).

Does the ester work like a pill that slow dissolves at a steady rate and releases its medication?

Or does it have some property like a coated pill that doesn't start releasing its medication until the coating is dissolved?

I would assume the former.

Right!

When you inject, how much is actually absorbed from the get-go? Does it take a while to get the full amounts? During that initial period, is the old injection fading faster than the new is being absorbed? As in, you continue to drop in numbers until the new inject kicks in full force?

I inject subq... does this have an impact?

Again, I get it - most guys do't care to know this, or need to. I am just curious.

The testosterone you inject is not recognized by your body as such. In fact, some folks have "allergic" reactions as their immune systems perceive it as a potential threat. Once your body cleaves the ester away from the testosterone molecules can it be put to work and is finally biologically active.

The time frame in which this happens is part of both the half-life calculation as well as peak-time estimation. Unfortunately as everyone metabolizes drugs at differing rates, this often leads to skewed reports about how testosterone "kicks in" after a week, or how through doesn't happen until 8 days post-injection.

In your case Jim, you don't likely have a trough OR a real peak. That's why E3.5D dosing is often chosen, as it keeps your hormones at a nice steady value with teeeeeensy peaks 48hrs post injection, and teeeeeensy troughs the morning of your next pin. I've seen maybe a 150ng/dL variation between the two personally.

I hope this helps. :)

on E3.5D dosing I had about a 250 point difference between peak and trough (750-483), I felt fairly shitty on that last half day before the next shot. I switched to E3D and added 300IU of HCG on the day before a T Shot after that and have not felt shitty ever since. Having blood work done next week, will probably just do a trough though so I won't have a comparison.

Good to know.

I'm sure most wonder why I am even playing this game, and not just raising test a bit higher so my trough isn't 650. As I've posted before, I get extremely sensitive nips, and am starting to realize its tied to my TT/FT levels. Say sensitive E is kept steady at 15 (3-70) which is about where I stay at all times... TT of 1000 gives me major nip sensitivity whereas TT 700 does not. Since lowering my T doses, I have had major relief from the sensitivity. These are the lowest TT readings I've had to date, but also the least nip sensitivity. Just to re-iterate, estrogen is always low by most standards, averaging about 15 on the LapCorp sensitive assay.

If I can feel decent with a TT of 800-650, and keep my nips at bay, then its a win.

I have no idea where my TT/E2 is at right now since I haven't had blood work since changing my protocol to 60 e3d and 300IU of HCG E3D, but this is the best I've felt since starting TRT and I have absolutely zero E2 sides so what ever the numbers come out to, as long as there isn't anything to out of whack that says I'm endangering my health, this is where I'll stay. I'm way more interested in feeling good then targeting a specific number.

This is the new protocol?
Lean and mean?? With HCG ....
hows things coming along?

Feeling awesome, balls back to normal, training 5 days a week, eating everything I can stuff in my face and getting strong!

Sorry for continuing to hijack your thread Jim. I'm a bit of a narcissist, I can't help but respond!
