In Mexico atm and do not have access to bacteriostatic water. I am trying to mix my own using sterile water and benzyl alcohol. So far I've only been able to come across benzalkonium chloride which is similar to benzyl alcohol but not the same? Before going forward with this hopefully someone can give me a little guidance.

It is cheap and easy to make your own BSW. 1 ML BA, 99 ML distilled water and run through a sterile syringe filter. There are complete instructions on the net.
Problem is I dont have access to Benzyl Alcohol, I only could find Benzalkonium Chloride. It has similar uses but I am not sure if it is OK to substitute for Benzul Alcohol. Mail order is not an option.
