Hi, I am about to start a cycle in a few weeks and used to always use Maximuscle Progain which worked well for me...

However being 40+ now I have to watch the stomach and this cycle want to just take some extra protein supplment and unsure which one to do?

I am fairly health conscious and many supp's contain a lot of crap and dairy etc, I read Hemp is about the best, but most slate the taste of it.

Anyone know a good quality protein which isn't made of cows hormones and tastes good at the same time?

dolphinfitness.co.uk/en/optimum-nutrition-100-whey-gold-912g/2594 this isn't hemp but just Whey, got good reviews... what to you guys think?

Also this look a good one myprotein.com/sports-nutrition/impact-whey-protein/10530943.html?menu=a#product-reviews

Thanks

Hey, coming up to 40 and using products from myprotein. Their whey powder is awesome (choc smooth) and very cheap comparatively. Has additional supplementation and is very low in both sugars and fat.

Cool, so your'e using the Impact Whey? when doing roids, how many servings do you take a day?

Thanks

Well I take a shake immediately upon waking, with 50g of oats. Then one mid morning, one at lunch time, one pre -workout ( with flax seed mixed in) and a double straight after the gym! So 6 in total, but these are in addition to a full protein focused diet, as well as whole grains (brown rice, quinoa, sweet potatoes etc). Before bed I take a calcium caseinite shake.

Most companies will do great prtoeins bro its personal preference really, if your looking for a staty protein forumal then none van beat whey2build proteins from N2BM absolutely amazing flavours and highly addictive :chomp:

Very true, some good stuff out there. Not to be too obsessive about myprotein but the impact whey choc smooth with skimmed is seriously fantastic- two of my kids will not let me finish a whole shake off, they insist on at least a decent gulp each!

Myprotein are uk based though and don't know if that would be prohibitive based on your location.

(One last thing, don't buy from myprotein without holding out for one of their offers, a new one seems to materialise every other day, 10% off, mystery discounts, freebies etc).

Many thanks for all your info, I just ordered some and got 10% off UK Hot Deals!

myprotein Impact Whey Choc Smooth ;)

Looking forward to it, christ you take a shet load of protein, you must be weighing in big!

Lol, well I seem to keep it! Currently at 86kg (5'11 and a half), but currently looking at shaving some of the protein supplementation down to four shakes + casein a day.

Seriously try the shake at least once with milk! Btw, orders over £50 get free delivery and if in future you order, presuming you didn't this time, perhaps go for the 5kg (about £51 with a discount offer) and therefore get a better deal than buying 2.5s more regularly and getting free delivery.

Yeh thats pretty big, I think im gonna do 2 a day to start with on new cycle... Im training hard at moment naturally to max gains on gear

Muscle Feast has really good proteins. Really good. It is always and will always stay my go to protein.

However I haven't heard or read anything bad about isopure or species protein either.

NOW Foods Whey Protein Isolate Unflavored has a profile that reads immensely good. No filler. No artificial crap. 25g protein in 110cal serving.

I have yet to try it but thinking of cutting some artificial sweeteners out so might give it a shot next time I go protein shopping.

Right now I'm having too much fun drinking trutein, xtreme formulations and delicious protein :)
