I have a reunion coming in 6 months. I'm a seasoned lifter, and was wondering, do you think circuit or body part training would be best? My goal is to bulk, I'm 5'11", 200lbs, somewhere in the 15- 17% bf, 61 years old.

Myself I don't care for the circuit training for bulking. But on the other side of it you are good to use it during the start up can and break in. I don't think you will build or break plateaus using the circuit method.

I think it more appropriate to get the overload / failure theory by using a muscle or group training method. You can concentrate on different muscles for their particular growth methods with more concentration, this being a big key. A routine as to 3 days on and 1 day off. Doing this will allow you more time per body part. On the day off you can do special training to a small body part that needs some attention. But not to fatigue your over need for Rest.

A routine as such you can hit most all parts twice a week.

I would say that the circuit training would better , done a higher rate of speed will help burn calories. You might add the quickness by using machines to be apart of you key aerobic time using a more stress routine of burning calories and getting hard. No Pun intended.

Good read thank you

^^^^^agreed with my man Mike! As always....spot on :)

And I am a firm believer in each major muscle group twice per week as stated. And no worries, 6 months is enough time to drastically change your physique. Make sure the food is lined up to achieve your goal. Good luck bro
