Wife is late. Test related?

The wife is a week or so late on her period. I'm sure its related to my taking testosterone. My skin is literally gushing oil and I have no doubt she's been exposed to test as I'm on top of her every chance I get. Is this a common problem?

No, she's not pregnant

No. Seriously. Her periods are like clockwork 27 days. Have been for 15 years since we have been married. She's done two pregnancy tests in the last week . Both were negative but I seriously think that Ive contaminated her system with testosterone. I'm doing 600 mg a week test C . I know its possible with trans dermal application of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) but I didnt think intramuscular test would get to her. I have been gushing oil out of my pores the last few weeks like I was 16 again.

I know the difference between sebum and sweat. My hair is oily like it hasnt been in decades and my skin is oily and my back is breaking out like crazy. She could be getting through semen as she gets a good load 3-4 times a week . In any case the only difference between a few months ago and now is my shooting test. Then she starts with huge swings in her ovulation. I just can't see it being a coincidence.

Menopause perhaps?

She doesnt have any menopause symptoms. Hot flashes or any of that. No history of early menopause in her family. I know that test causes some people to generate extra sebum and in my case its absolutely true. I'm having to shower a few times a day to get the oil off and my hair is sloppy oily no matter how much a wash it. Some of that test has to be getting through.

You say you've been married for 15 years. How old is she? It may just be her time. Women don't have their period forever. She may have other complications we don't know about. Maybe you should make a doctor's appointment. It may be temporary from stress. Has anything significant happened in her life recently? Perhaps you taking anabolics has her worried. Then again, she may just be late. It happens sometimes.

Yes, getting on top of your wife every waking moment, causing a pregnancy is a common occurrence for those that do not use proper birth control. (Or in my case, just REALLY damn unlucky! That .4% is A DOOZY!)

Not sure how you draw the correlation between sebum (oil produced by sebaceous glands) and testosterone though.

Her being pregnant would be quite a trick. Biblical like. Ive had a vasectomy and she's had a tubal. We even did two tests this week to be sure. Those tests are super accurate these days. No pregnancy and her cycles have been like clockwork for years.

As far as the sebum goes I'm guessing I am the only one here who's sebaceous gland start pouring out oil when exposed to high levels of testosterone? It is a common side effect you know. I could light my hair on fire and it would burn all day. I have to wash my hair 3 times in the shower in the morning to get the oil out and its soaked in oil by the end of the day. Thats not normal for me and hasnt been since high school 30 years ago. My skin feels like I bathed in vegetable oil.

Okay that is oil on your skin, not testosterone. If you were using transdermal testosterone gel or cream I could see this happening but not with injections. As far as your wife being late I'd assume it was a result of stress or some hormonal imbalance.

For starters, my post was slightly in humor, although without knowledge of your situation does stand. :p I do know a couple that did conceive with BOTH a tubal ligation AND a vasectomy, so you can name the child something other than Jesus if that happens to be the case. ;)

Sebaceous oil does not contain testosterone. Just because you're injecting an oil-based solution does not mean that you will start pouring it out from your glands. In fact, it is ESTROGEN that causes your sebaceous glands to go into overtime in the first place. Are you taking an AI? This is a common side effect of elevated estradiol, which often leads to acne (acne vulgaris to be precise) in most - but if you happen to have a certain pore type, you will only notice the oily skin without detriment.

I would look into other causes such as increased physical exertion (sex can do this) as a possible cause of your wife's delayed period. Stress/changes in diet/environmental factors/sudden weight loss/certain supplements/drugs can also cause this to happen. I would be very surprised if you were somehow contaminating your spouse through body contact from an intra-muscularly injected hormone.

My .02c :)
