Will Upping My Test Dose Make My Blood Pressure Worse?

Hey all. 26 here. Been in TRT 2 ish years. Normal dose for me is 250 a week split dose. Basically 2014 was a shit year for me. Got I hured. Got depressed. Stopped working out. Starting eating like shit and drinking several times a week. Sometimes nightly. My blood pressure shot up to about 190/80. Me and my doc both believe it's due to the weight gain as the history shows the more I weighed higher bp was. My question is. The last few months I've cut my TRT dose to like 125mg. I feel ok not great. Starting new year when I go back to the gym and dieting I want to go back to old 250 dose. Will this make my blood pressure worse? Or will I be ok if I diet and lose weight and be active again?

My doc things it's all related to my weight gain and diet. Think I will be able to go back to feel good levels of test whil dropping my blood pressure?

So if a guy that doesn't need TRT starts to eat like shit and drinks alcohol without moderation notices he starts to see higher blood pressure, does he cut a testicle off?

Didn't think so.

Fix your diet, stop drinking excessively and get back to the gym. Messing with your hormones is the last thing your body needs; you should have left it alone in the first place. If you want to be healthy, you need to live a healthy lifestyle, it's as simple as that. The exception being if you have estradiol out of control, but labwork would be required to determine that.

My .02c :)

Appreciate input. I do need TRT. I felt like shit and had total test of 198 when I was 24 years old. I feel good around 2-250 a week. I went down to 125 as a break

I know Tony, I remember when you first started. ;)

You keep thinking that TRT is something like a cycle and should be adjusted to fit lifestyle changes. The fact is that it is one thing that should remain constant in your life. Hormones change way too many things to become a variable in how we feel day-to-day. Sounds like you have a great New Year's resolution ahead of you, and I wish you the best of luck with it. :)

Edit: In case I'm not clear (I have a shitty cold thanks to my daughter :(), get back on your TRT dose and STAY there.

Maybe see if yur doc can prescribe meds to reduce blood pressure as you get back in shape. Then talk about tapering off them completely
