WMS for bulk vs. dex/malto

I know that WMS is superior for pre-contest as users report that it keeps muscles full while not spiking insulin..

Is there any other reason to use this over the cheaper (as I have read) dex/malto combo? The reason I ask: I'm not planning on doing any shows any time soon, just trying to put on quality mass.

I've read (from troponin) that supps should be taken w/ the WMS, as it may increase the absorbtion, but as long as the extra supps don't account for more than 20-25% of the mix. (Ex. 75g WMS, 5g CEE, 5g taurine, 10g glutamine, 5g BCAA or whatever).

Opinions?

There is currently a studying being done on intensemuscle. They are using different mixes with WMS, CEE, protien, etc and seeing how it effect blood sugar among other things. There is speculation that WMS mixed with other supplement will hinder the absorption of the WMS. Most people take their WMS immediately after a working, then 20 mins later they take the rest of their PW supps.

Poeple have been using WMS because it quick absorption, so this should be good insight when they are done.

If you have never used WMS I would give it a shot. I have been using it for a while now and I like it alot more than dextrose. I find it is easy on the stomach. When I was taking dextrose it would bloat me and the high amount of sugar in one dose made me stomach feel like crap.

WMS is worth the extra cash IMO.

Thanks.. is that study on a thread? I tried looking, but there are so many forums and subforums..

It is still in motion.

They have a bunch of the members take different mixes PW and then measuring their blood sugar at specific intervals. I'm not 100% sure of the protocol, but from what I hear the results are expected to be out soon.

Thanks! Do you know where they would post it, forum wise?

Over on intensemuscle.

When it comes out I will post it over here , or a link to their thread.

would the lack of sugar in the WM be better for someone who's cutting?
One of the reasons so many people like WMS is because of it's performance pre-contest.. From what I've read, it keeps your muscles full (from the high carbs) without spiking insulin (common of high GI and simple sugars), therefore minimizing fat gain. Correct me if I'm wrong but this is suppsoedly due to high molecular weight that allows it to bypass the stomach before being broken down.

Does that answer your question?

yea.

i took it for the first time last week after a weight session. used about 70g's with the orange indulgence premium flavor. tasted good but was a BITCH to work with, got ALL over my apt.
