any midsection strengthing tips?

Needsize's ab routine in great. I can tell a huge difference in ab strength in a couple of months on it (even though I still can't see em:D)

I know what you mean.

I take short breaks and can only do 3 sets with no weight. But my BF has went up recently but my abs are more visible than when lower. I love it. I think I may add weight before I up the sets though, since I have never done 5 sets of anything. Load goes a lot farther than volume regardless of what muscles you are working.

only 3 sets? how long do you hold the position with most resistance for?

Now you see that if you rely on machines, you will develop weak spots.

Example, if you use a tbar row bench machine, you will eventually have a very weak lower back compared to your upper back.

I hate machines...I avoid them at all costs. Unless I'm doing any sort of pulldown/pressdown, because as we all know, they cannot be done without a pulley device. Free weights build strength!!! Keep that in mind everyone next time you see a bowflex commercial and start drooling for delight!

Machines are great, as long as they dont replace your free weight exercises. Machines are great for adding to a routine for weak areas.

5 seconds minimum. Sometimes more.

My routine is already packed with high intensity exercises with low volume sets. Any more training would be costly, due to the fact that I'd overtrain very quickly.
