Women and T3

Is it a bad idea for women to take this? I really dont have alot of info on it and was wondering if anyone did..

Thanks

it is not necessarily a BAD idea persay, but there are risks involved..
-permanant thyroid problems
-rebound

when used correctly or under a doctor's supervision, T3 can be very effective at speeding up the thyroid. There will be fat loss, however there can also be muscle loss.. T3 has the tendency to eat through muscle just as fast, so a supplemental Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) is common while on T3 in order to maintain muscle.. T3 can also be used with Clenbuterol as the clen is anti-catabolic and will help to fight muscle loss to the T3..

IMO, i would not personally suggest this be used for a woman who is having stubborn fat loss.. odds are the diet is off or training is not hard enough etc.. T3 IMO is really great for pre-contest..

But really it is weighing the risks to the benefits and it is a very personal decision.. Most women that have used T3 have experienced some sort of rebound once stopping.. even if you taper there is often rebound..
There are ways to work around it and help prevent rebound, but in all honesty, she must be super dedicated and hard working to prevent the rebound as it will take some work!

Hope that helps ya some :)

by rebound you mean?

when you speed up your thyroid it could possibly become dependent on artificial stimulation, therefore once you stop the T3 therapy, your thyroid could shut down or slow down to a crawl.. this would cause you to regain weight/fat thus called a "rebound".

NOW, this can happen, but is unlikely as long as an appropriate taper is done which allows the throid to continue functioning well on its own..

In some cases (i have personally experienced this) post T3 cycle, my thyroid continued to work a bit faster and did not get shut down or slowed at all.. It actually seemed to stay a bit overactive until normalization again..

Hope that helps :)

ahhhh...lets say someone, female, was going to use liquid t3...it is 125mcg per ml...i advised only running it 14 day gig tapering up and then tapering down...but what would be an appropriate doseage..lets say she has a good diet and she trrains, but has some fat she needs to get rid of and does not want to run clen...

i have not personally used the liquid T3, but i can tell ya what is recommended for tabs..
basically you do a pyramid like you mentioned, starting at 12.5mcg... 25mcg... 37.5mcg... 50mcg... and from there i go to 75mcg and peak at 100mcg.. then you begin your taper down...

2 week gig?? i assume you meant this: i ran my T3 cycle for 6 complete weeks which included a taper up (2 weeks), 2 week run at 100mcg and then a taper down (2 weeks)

does that explain it well?? :)
