WTF Whey Protein is getting so expensive!!!

Has anyone else noticed the price of whey protein has gone up??? I use to buy a 5 lb tub of Elite Gourmet Dymatize for like 30 bucks, I can't find the shit cheaper than $45-$50 anywhere now(shipped), wtf
I might switch to a different brand but this is one of the few whey proteins I can actually drink without gagging, anyone have any recommendations of quality whey that doesn't taste like shit?

I've been using Walmart's cheap-o crap as the numbers look pretty good and I don't want to punch a kitten every time I drink it. I recently placed an order for SolidMuscle's whey, but haven't had a chance to test it out yet. You can thank this new gym trend for capitalizing on people knowing buzz words like "test booster" and "whey protein". I remember looking into HCG a long time ago and those prices have SKYROCKETED for the very same reason, I agree - it's pretty dumb.

Gaspari Nutrition Protein Series MyoFusion Elite I always stick to this or Combat, I haven't seen a spike in either yet. I tried the walmart one couldn't do it. This just taste to good and its worth that imo.

It's expensive everywhere. Even the cheap 16 dollar 2 pounders, do the math, that's 32 for 4 pounds.

I get a bit of a price break because I can order directly from the manufacturer, being a gym owner.

If it's all expensive, I say f it, go with what tastes the best, you gotta pay out the butt either way.

Mr supps has some decent deals on protein with the nublend stuff.

I prefer Syntha-6, for the same reason Halfwit said, I don't want to punch kittens. I am too picky when it comes to taste, so I will pay whatever I have to for Syntha-6.
