If so, which ones, what times and what lifts?
I have in the past on dl
But now I don't lift anything heavy enough to require straps
I use straps when I deadlift, but I only use them because my hands sweat. I would prefer to use chalk, but my gym doesn't allow for it.![]()
wraps on my knees when I do squats over 225 1 or 2 a month.
Straps on pull ups or shrugs...sometimes on some lat exercises...
Straps on deads over 315 and then sometimes I just keep them on for t-bar rows.
No straps, wraps, shoes or much of clothes for that matter
Mmm tell me more about this lifting theory.. does it increase power output substantially?? Do you find your bodies cooling process to be remarkably faster due to lack of outer garments? Please divulge![]()
It does help me keep cool and I just got used to it. Tried back squats with a sweatshirt to protect my back and started sweating like a pig. Now I just drape a towel over the bar.
Obviously, I work out in private.
Not sure on the last time I actually used my wraps.. but usually anything 405 and under I'm good to go on
Straps are for pussys, I don't care what you think you can lift, if you have to lift with straps you still look like a pussy. Franco Columbu deadlifts 720 some pounds no straps no belt. If you cant lift it raw than maybe you just cant lift it. I personally have never used straps but I sure loose a lot of respect for any lifter i see useing them.
