Edit: deadlift used to be my favorite before I couldn't do them anymore

Deadlift for sure is number one. I have been making sure to do wide grip pull ups every week because this is a weak area and I want more lat width. My back is already thick from heavy deads and different row variations. Pulldown type stuff comes last for me and just is an accessory thing I use at the end that is not nearly important as the others imo.
 
Do you notice any difference in muscle look from engaging back with a perpendicular lift like a row as compared to a more parallel lift lift the pull up?
 
upper lats = dumbell rows imo i would do 1 rep pulled up beside the upper chest and the next pulled up beside waist , GO HEAVY .
