The Legend
So I figured it would be informative and interesting to see what people's favorite routine while on is. Possibly even beneficial assuming I dont screw this poll up too badly, which I'm sure i will.

Write in's are more than welcome

Love the 5x5 setup also some area's I will hit with a 5x10 (usually tri's and traps only), Also switching up the routines. Also, doing complete upper only, then wait 2 days. complete lower, then back to complete upper. Thought I would try it... and I'm loving it

being on or off makes no difference. low volume, heavy weight to failure.

what would be your favorite setup for low volume, heavy weight then RJ? Im assuming your not doing full body workouts to failure every day lol.

Tony, nice log btw, excited to see some gains

My favorite? Mark Rippetoes Starting Strength. I can't really do that anymore these days though.

What I do now is a variation of 5x5. Nothing like whats in the sticky though....way too much volume in there for me. I mainly stick to the basics (squat, deads, cleans, rows, standing shoulder press, bench) and then functional strength builders like farmers walk etc.

I stick to 3x a week year round.

can't get that link to work

nm. had to type it into google and then "quick view" it.

Looks interesting. I've been using a customized version of:

http://madcow.hostzi.com/5x5_Program/Linear_5x5.htm

Bill Starr's 5x5. The results have been amazing. Only thing I change is the addition of cleans on M/F.

I might try your routine out for a while next time I switch it up.

I'll check it out later in detail. I'm going back to justin's program cause i don't feel like i can add in conditioning work enough AND recover from all that strength training.

What's the conditioning work exactly? Maybe I overlooked it.

I was thinking about starting up a 5x5. I've always sworn by split routines cause I have found that it was what worked best for me personally. But i gotta try something new to get over this plateau i've hit for a couple months
