1 inch needle deep enough for glutes?

I guess i should mention i'm fairly lean, i can flex my glutes and see quite a bit of definition

just want to make sure all the oil is absorbed and not wasted

I am using 1" as well for quads, glutes, and shoulders. I think that for larger muscles like the glutes and quads 1.5" is definitely the way to go to ensure that all the gear gets deep into the muscle. There are times where I feel that it didn't get far enough into the muscle with what I'm using.

god no. sub q test injections almost always turn into infections.

i had a friend use a needle that wasnt long enough in his glute and wound up with a nasty cyst that had to be drained at the emergency room with all of the doctors talking down to him because he tried to do roids and fucked it up. it wasnt a good scene.

I get into the glutes with 1 inch no problem....

As for the infection from not going deep enough... there must have been something else going on there. Maybe he wasnt practicing sterile methods ???

I use 1 inch for all my injections ...just make sure you push it straight in and not on an angle and always make sure everything is sterile....and you should be g2g.

If your going straight in (upper outer quartile) and are lean 1in might be fine.

But if your going into the side (Ventrogluteal) of your glute, which is optimal, you need a 1.5in NOT a 1in as the fat pad is usually 3.7 cm (1.46in)
