20ml viles VS 10ml

Just wondering how safe it is to use a 20ml vile. I've read that, over time, puncturing the rubber stopper this many times (in this case, 20 times) can cause damage to it leading to contaminated gear by creating a hole and allowing air inside the vile or having pieces of rubber fall into the gear. Do you guys think that it's worth while to transfer half of the oil to another steril vile, or does a 20ml vile work fine.

Never had a problem using a 20ml vial till it was empty.

it depends on what guage youre hitting the vial with.. 19 guage will tear it up a littlr more than a 24

20 ML vials are fine, you would have to hit them like 20 times with an 18 ga or larger to have a problem.

You would likely introduce more pathogens by transferring the solution than you would by puncturing the seal of a 20 mL bottle twice as many times... provided you are using new needles and wiping the surface of the bottle with an alcohol prep prior to sticking the needle in it.
