3 day routine

I currently train...

monday - chest, bi's

wednesday - back, tri's

friday - legs, shoulders


i want to keep it three day mon,wed and fri, does it look ok to u lot ?

How may sets for bi's and tri's ? i currently do about 6-8 for bi's and about 8 for tris

i ask because ive heard of people doing as little as 4 sets for bi's and tri's

Done In 35 Minutes

Day 2
Bike, Run, Stretch, Abs

Day 3
Leg Press/extensions 2xfailure

Stiff/ham-curls 2xfailure

Calf Raises 2xfailure

Squats 2xfailure
Done In 45 Minutes

Day 4
Bike, Run, Stretch, Abs

Day 5
D-rows 1xfailure
B-rows 1xfailure

D-shrugs 1xfailure
Dead-shrugs 1xfailure

B-curls 1xfailure
D-curls 1xfailure

Pull-ups 2xfailure

Days 6-7
Bike, Run, Stretch, Abs

Currently A Strength And Conditioning Coach At A University...
Have Worked With Many NFL Players (Randy Moss Etc) In Their Off-season. Workout Is Short And Brutal. Hits All Three Energy Sources
And Builds Up A Bunch Of Lactic Acid So Drink Plenty Of Water. Strength and Size Gains Have Been Consistent And Impressive

Weight-225
Bench Press 225x25
Squats 315x25
Dead 315x25
Mind You I Am 35 Years Old And No Longer Train For Power.
 
2 sets to failure on leg press and squats in the same day? too much for most, esp if you moving any weight.

i am 46 and still train for power.

our workouts are long and drawn out but we train for strength.

i have never done a set of 25 on anything cept maybe scrogging =0)
 
i NEVER train tris with chest.....whats the point? ur tris r getting a workout from bench

follow the push and pull rule

never do to pushes or pulls in one workout

chest - push
bis - pull
 
at 46 years old your cortisol levels must be through the ceiling on Long Drawn Out Workouts. As far as not training triceps on bench day I consider all pushing movements part of a tricep workout. i guess everyone has a preference...
