i had pt early sat morning and the guide running the show decide to do the 300 work out...but a little bit different.

i have to admit it was a pretty decent little thing they had us doing.

“300”
25x Pull-up +
50x Deadlift @ 135# +
50x Push-up +
50x Box Jump @ 24” box +
50x Floor Wiper @ 135# (one-count) +
50x KB Clean and Press @ 36# (KB must touch floor between reps) +
25x Pull-up
300 reps total

our guide had a few different things for us to do. but it did its job plus a 3 mile run. we had 5 guys drop out cause of muscle failure and shit like that

i no this is old i've heard of it before but since i actually had to do it on sat i figured it bring it up

lol oh yea.

i mean u got the dudes that are like hardly meeting there weight requirements and can hardly lift shit. and then u got the bigger dudes that need work on pull ups and other shit but

thats what we did at the coast guard gym and thats what they do every Saturday lol

just so everyone knows. i didnt actually intend people to use this haha

i just thought it was odd the navy and marine corps use it at the gym.

The "300 Workout" wasn't actually designed as a work out, a none of the actors in the film did this as a regular workout. It was a final test, a graduation from the program so to speak...The only actor in the film who did this test was Andrew Pleavin - the guy who played Daxos.

yea i no

but like i said i just brought it up cause i wasn't exactly sure why they use it as a work out during pt. but ours consisted of like 500 more push ups and like 100 8 point push ups and scissor kicks and butterfly kicks and alot more pull ups and 21's and some other things on top of that work out

I doubt CGI was used on these guys. First of all the movie was darkened to bring out all the cuts on there bodies. So yes...a little touch of illusion was used. And two...did anyone see the behind the scenes footage? They really are all in shape.
