300mg vs 600mg of testosterone

Yeah. Good point about OMM. If he were around here he would surely chime in. Looks like he's gone though

OMM seems to be back here :D
Maybe he can shed some light on this study and/or 15-20 pound gains thingy.

The only thing I can think of is the "bro science" I heard about being able to gain more if you're under your genetic capability. Sorta the opposite of diminishing return on gains while already being at your genetic potential.

Yes!!! He's back!:dance2:

Im still interested in this.

@Oldmusclemike, you've said numerous times that you can only gain 15-20 lmm per year.
This study directly contradicts that statement, seeing as you can inject test and gain that without even training and the study itself claims that you gain more from training, which means you could gain a lot more then 15-20 per year ?
Whats going on ?

Hello, Hello, holy shit I just saw this... Seriously no shit.

Ok I got here from another thread's link.

So I don't even know about this study. Guys you all should know I been hit and miss in here for a long time previously to April due to only having this fvcking phone. Then I had to go.... away... till end of May.

So someone explain please. But the Question of the fact of gains per year I have discussed just recently in more detail.

Please Santana might be able to redirect us to the thread or threads... ? :)

Sincerely, OMM

I made that post before I even started my last cycle mike.
Very old post, I have read the bloat thread though, thanks :)

“...300 mg group-1,345 ng/dl a 691 ng increase from baseline....”.

Very interesting.

For me, just 200 mg of Testosterone Cypionate will put me at between 1500-1800 ng/dL on trough day when blood is taken just prior to the next injection.
I’m prescribed 200 mg per week but only use 75 mg which puts me at 600-700 ng/dL.

Yeh... That would be 20 pounds of lean muscle for doing nothing ?
Seeing how OMM always says you cant gain over 15-20 pounds in a year...why would anyone even train at all if this was true ?
And if you train, wouldnt you gain way over the 15-20 pounds a year anyhow ?
There has to be a difference between the guy working out and the guy sitting on his ass ?

Is this study bogus ?

I know lots of dudes who have done it. if your not making those gains after a years worth of cycles why cycle?

there are plenty of studies out there that you need to pay close attention to, but your own steroid use is your own science experiment on yourself. now i'm not encouraging anyone to do anything crazy to their body, but if it's something like 300mg of test or 600mg of test... try it both for yourself. some guys can run a gram of test and look and feel great while others like myself feel like shit.

personally, i don't see test as anything more than a base. if my goal is to get bigger and thicker, why would i run 500mgs of test when i can run 150mgs of test and 500mgs of NPP? test has a threshold point of diminishing returns.

i'm a big believer in running less gear for a longer period of time. gains are more "natural" (gradual), sides are more easily controlled, and it's less stress on your body. doing a 10 weeker of test, deca, superdrol at high doses is crazy. you'll easily gain 30lbs (of shit weight) but that is so far from natural. your hormonal profile will be completely out of whack. play it safe guys.

Hi, you can join me and take some money on this cool site)

This "study" was very interesting and makes for a good read........but let me just throw out here what I don't like about it.

My understanding is the guys that got the juice were not guys who exercise.......so of course they put on some muscle when they got on testosterone, but their gains would quickly stabilize and diet/workout plan would need to be in place. For our purposes this study is interesting but fairly useless, as it tells us what we already know......testosterone beyond physiological levels causes muscle growth as one of the "side effects" if you will. Now......we also know that going to the gym adds muscle, proven by the study. Add the two together for best results. Then we arrive at the fact that steroids are for people who are at or near their genetic limit. So when adding calories and adding weight to lifts stops producing gains.........enter steroids.

Everywhere I've seen this study pop up was a site or article that trash talks steroid users and downplays the work they put in as something that just happens when you take steroids. Well.......its not that simple. Unless you are a weak slob then the gains you get from testosterone and sitting on the couch would be unimpressive. If any of the bros on this site did this study.....we would lose our gains simply injecting hormones and laying around. Anyway......I just don't like the way it aids the nay sayers in "proving" their point about steroids being an easy way to a good physique. Eat like shit and don't work out.......it won't matter how much you take, you will waste away only just get fat.

That's my rant. I probably should read the study again.....I remember having lots of issues with it. Lol
