35years old, 6'3 246 16-17%bf, never done gear, is 200 mg of test cyp a good start??!

I've had bloodwork done and I am at 800 (348-1197) total and free 17.7 (8.7-25.1)

As China Wall mentioned, that is definitely on the upper end naturally. I seriously think you won't be happy with anything less than 500mg/wk. If you had levels in the 200's, that would be an entirely different scenario.

Do you think something like a 500 blast for 12 weeks, then a cruise for 8, the back to a blast for another 12 week, then PCT makes any sense?? All the while supplementing with HCG

You'd be on for 32 weeks straight with that plan. You might recover fine afterwards, you might not. HCG throughout would improve your chances of getting your natural testosterone back. It would be safer (in terms of being able to recover) to run 2 separate cycles with a PCT after each one. You don't know how well you'll recover from even a 12 week cycle if you haven't done it yet.

Cruising is generally for people who plan to stay on for life. I made that decision at 33, and I'm happy about it. I wouldn't personally do 2 3 month cycles with a cruise in between if I was planning on coming off afterwards.

How about you get a blood test first and see where you're at naturally. You're thinking of running a dose of testosterone that frankly may be less than what you make naturally; or possibly could be prescribed if you are not making enough. At 35, it could go either way, but I honestly think seeing what you already have first would be prudent in this case.

FYI: I inject more than 200mg/wk just to reach normal values. Wouldn't it suck to venture into this blindly, feel instantly better, and not know that you could have had this all along? Besides, you would want to double that dose to see any sort of results that you likely have in mind, just based on your stats. Us bigger fellas tend to require more of everything, hormones certainly not being an exception.

My .02c :)

I'm a big guy too at 6'4" / 240. 200 mg/week of test e (with aromasin and HCG) puts my total testosterone around 1300 or 1400. I think some people metabolize testosterone faster than others. From reading TRT forums, I'd guess 200 mg/week would put most guys over the top of the normal range. A blood test about a month into the cycle would show this one way or the other.

I was able to make decent gains and lose fat at the same time on 300 mg/week. Someone like you who metabolizes it faster might not have noticed much from the same dose.

^^this is good info

before you decide to go ahead with the 32-weeker, be prepared that your natty test may never come back to near normal levels when you're done, even with proper PCT protocol... and like mentioned that will mean feeling like a lesser you or going on TRT onwards
