7 weeks into cycle

Hmmm, sounds good to go. you probably just need to increase your calories. At 240 lbs its gonna take alot of food to gain.

that seems like a lot of volume with only one full rest day.

I stand by my origianl assessment that you are over-training. Try hitting three sets harder than you would the 4-5. Everyone knows that if you know you have five sets, you setup the first to be easily finished..which kinda makes it a waste.

That's an assload of volume! Instead of coming up with your own training routine have you ever thought of trying something that's proven to give results. That takes into consideration cns recovery. Do some research on bill starrs 5x5 and dc training. I personally train with the 5x5 and it has really put some size on me not to mention a ton of strength. DC training is more of a bodybuilder type of training but still emphasises strength. I really think if you cut back on the volume but keep the intensity the same you will be able to recover faster and be bigger/stronger quicker

i have tried the 5X5 2 yers ago for 3 months didnt do much for me. from all the dif traininig i've done the one that works for me is the 4X6-8
and the more exersises i do the better.
the dc i can not do cuz i have a full time job cant do split workouts

i will try 4 sets 6 reps tops maxout each set for the rest of the cycle
what do u think?

What are you talking about split workouts? It is a mon, wed, fri type schedule rotating between an a and b workout. It is very effective at putting on size! Check out this website Intensemuscle.com

its 3 body parts per day & legs for 3 days...thats the one right?

if i dont split it morning - night i could never do it my 1st part will get the best of me & the rest will be 50% less weight that usual

is that what your workout is?
