When you first start this routine, do you start out with lower weight for the 2x8 sets and build your way up in 4 months like the 5x5 sets?

i think you need to change your name if you gonna do 5x5.

:)

I have never tried this routine before but from what i understand not only do you gain lots of size, you get some great strength gains too.

dont start too heavy since you dont want to plateau on the accessory wokr weither..when you can get all 8's for 2 sets bump the weight up as well

it is not a PLing routine by any stretch of the imagination. competetive Plers train for strength and strength only. we are not looking to add size as a primary goal but you know what? we get big.

pling is a completely differnt type of training. now can pling movements be incorporated into 5x5? sure ask needsize. the biggest difference is the set/rep range.

any routine that tears the muscles down and allows enough time for recovery will put size on ya if you focus on the core movements.

pullinbig, can you show me a sample 5x5 routine with pling movements incorperated in it? I am sort of new to pling and advice would be appreciated.
