Ok, so along with starting this thread, I now realize that so far, I am the oldest here at 56.
All my life I was a cardio fan. I use to run and run and run.... It kinda made me fit although, I never really had strength.
A couple of years ago, this type of activity became a bit too much, so I decided to see if I could develop a minimum of muscle and strength. I had always been the skinny fat type if you know what I mean.
I first started by cleaning up my diet extensively. Not what you body builders would consider clean, but way beyond what most people (even quite fit pones) consider clean. I also started eating a lot more than I used to and I started strength training with classic compound exercises :
Squats, deadlift, rows, bench, overhead press... All with free weights.
Nothing fancing, by I am doing it seriously and pumping iron is pumping iron. Since starting all this, I have gained 22 pounds. I am now 185 lbs at 5'10'' and about 16% body fat (down 5 or 6 % from a few years ago when I was 165 lbs). Funny thing is most people tell me I look really good (meaning healthy) but none notice my body composition change except for my gf. All this to say I am not very muscular and as I gain strength, I do not bulk. That's ok with me, I am out to gain strength mostly.
I am very glad I started this way of life, I have pretty much forgotten all my joint pains and I have no health issues. I like to train very regularly and pretty hard for my age and this is why I am looking into AAS. I have reached a point were the weights are heavy (for me) and so recovery is a real issue from one session to the other. Also at 56, Test levels clearly are going down with all the accompanying nasties : less libido, less energy, feeling sleepy, grumpy, fog brain etc. So having done a whole lot of reading, I am about to try my first cycle to see if it is for me. This cycle will be straight along the one described in the sticky thread :
500 mg test e per week for 12 weeks
12.5 mg exametastane per day for 15 weeks
HCG 1000iu per week starting on week 5
HCG 1000iu per day 10 days up to PCT
PCT Clomid 50 mg a day for 4 weeks
Nolva 40 mg a day for 2 weeks 20 mg a day for 2 weeks
