Ab training

There are several way s to get great abs...

Birth--genetics I hate those guys

Train them like any another body part...regularly till their there. Problem is if they re swimming in a sea of cellulite you can crunch urself into cramps...they won t pop and cut or flex when u breathe till peal back the insulation.

I m a " ab s are made in the kitchen and with aerobic activity " type of guy.

Ab s as a predesignated bodypart to train regulary..is not how I do it. I don t want my ab s or obligue s to get bigger...harder yes but not bigger. I ve been doing this a long time. I try to actually make my ab s sore, 1 or 2 a MONTH.

Think about it. Ab s are used every day . From bowel movements to getting in and out of a car to some good ol coitus.

I don t wear a weight belt unless I m either having back pain, doing squats, (rarely) an overhead movement like military (rarely) or heavy rows, seated or 1 arm dumbbells. I can t do deads anymore.

If you maintain proper form in ALL that you do from posture at work to perfect form in the gym I find that diet and aerobic activity suffice to stay cut in the winter and veigned in the summer.

We re all differant. We need to find our own way.

Overtraining is the biggest obstacle, i m o to younger guy s getting more muscular and or big. You can do ab s till the cows come home, but if your genetics or life style demand more attention to proper diet and aerobics that s probably the onlyway to that washboard .

Chick s dig it.

I just started a thread about abs genetics yes, I know a good clean diet and some cardio to keep bf low so you can seem them abs and its a muscle and if you want to build muscle you have to have high intensity low reps heavy weight weighted crunches hanging leg lifts all that good stuff but some guys abs are HUGE and buldging. would you say some aas to build muscle you think just long term training to build those puppys or are they cycling peptides and hgh to get them abs huge. Whats you guys think? just curious

I train em like any other muscle. With Weight 3-4 sets of 10ish to failure. Honestly I simply don't enjoy high rep routines unless Im already shot and finishing off a workout. Works for me.

Agreed. I do a couple sets of focused ab work about 2 or 3 times ( tops ) per week. I can feel them always, but can only see them when my BF% is nearer 10%.
Also, I tend to get bad cramps in my abs when training them. Not sure why, but it almost incapacitates me until they unlock.

these are the things everyone wants but most like myself forget. i tend to forget about doing isolated abs during the week or "the squats will take care of them" mentality. Agreed you need to work til they hurt. no bs.
