hey everyone ive been taking accutane for the last two weeks, the past couple days ive felt somewhat sick. no appetite, dizzy, wanna throw up after eating - i did on thursday when it started.

Do you guys think this is from the accutane, ive read it can cause loss of appetite, and flu like symptoms. tomorrow i will be taking 60mg instead of 80 for a few days to see if it helps

Did you get it prescribed, or did you get a generic version? Because the actual brand name accutane is banned from the united states from what ive heard..

i didnt get it prescribed, i had my general practitioner recommend it to me about a year or so ago but by the the time i got a dermatologist appointment it had been banned.

also its not brand name is it is generic

My lord bro. Accutane is really harsh. I was on it a long time ago for 4months. U MUST MUST get bloods done every 4-6 weeks. Its very harsh on your liver. My eyes turned a slight yellow in the 3rd month and I was using 20mgs twice a day. U also MUST stay away from any Vitamin A while on accutane. Check your protein label. Most have an assload of vit A. I think gold standard whey from optimum or pro complex one or the other has 0 vit A. Get bloods done every month and be careful. It does work well and I dont get any acne at all anymore just be safe. Hope that helps ya

what did your blood tests test for?

i need to go in and get one asap, i hope its just a virus and not something more serious.

i was on accutane, i was taking 40mg. It all depends on how severe your accutane is, if the doctor prescribed you 80mg. Then you are likely to have a severe accutane but you won't be having a long course.

You can check my diary for some more help.

from reading online i found the dose was based on approzimate size it said and i fit between 65-80mg which, i thought was very high. imma try going down atleast half

and when i get my blood checked am i only asking my dr. to check my liver values?????

stop taking it immediately your not responding well to it. ITS MAKING YOU SICK. Its hardcore required to carry "black box label" from FDA b/c of the sides.

and what does this have to do with Roids? u running a cycle with this bs in your system? you want liver failure?

I get acne myself, but with all do respect I'd never resort to accutane. I actually read about a teen who was on it and claims he got hypogonadism from it. Although it may seem unlikely, there are no full studies on what all the possible permanent effects and reprocissions of it are. The cycles your doing already puts enough stress on your liver and kidneys. If the sides are so bad, I'd just get off it. Good luck.

it has cleared me up a good amount these past 2 weeks but i need to stop, ill take acne all day if i feel fuckin good ha

I would think at 20mgs twice a day for 3months with your doctor paying close attention to your blood work you can get through it just fine. After the doc tests your blood after a month on 40mgs a day you might fing that 20mgs once a day is enough to clear up your acne for good. Just be honest with him about your accutane and get them bloods done. After your proper course with accutane you will never need it again and will never have acne again. If you do it will be like one little zit and thats all from time to time. Just make sure you have insurance if you get more accutane from the doctor because without it accutane wll run you $600 a month.

Accutane should only be used as an absolute last resort.

I experienced skin thinning after only 3 weeks of use. After 6 weeks of total use, my skin was left paper thin and fragile. It took over a year for my skin to feel somewhat normal after discontinuing.

Still to this day, my skin can't take the stress of massive pumps. This is after about 2 decades of working out/massive pumps without issue. Because of the accutane course I took, I presently stay smaller to keep my skin from getting stressed out. I go for a leaner look nowadays as a result...IDK, maybe that's for the better.

Who knows what it did to me internally.
