Acid Reflux?

Ya, wrong forum, I agree.

But lately I have been having a major problem with Acid Reflux or at least thats the only thing I can think that it is. To me it feels like a mixture of Heart burn(but up in my throat), indigestion and something to do with acid being in my throat. It is very, very uncomfortable and is literally killing my appetite.

Any thought? I know it sounds so vague but its actually quite hard to describe how it feels. Im hoping maybe someone else has had this problem and can share whatever information on remedies they may have.

I went through the same thing recently, in fact I think I was bitching to you about it, I went to the doc and he prescribed Losec 20mg(omeprazole) and it is really helping

Thanks. If I get some time today Im gonna head over to the Walk In Clinic right by my house and see if I can get something. Im telling you, this is by far the biggest annoyance Ive ever had while being "on". The thought of eating and having the symptoms flare up is enough to make me stop eating completely. I wish I could pinpoint what it was that started this, like the Winstrol (winny) or the clen, but i cant.

Omeprazole has a fairly long list of side effects, I took it for a while.

Is this happening at night or during the day? If at night, as it was in my case, I found not eating solid food half an hour to an hour before lying down to sleep helps no end. Not nice is it?

I'm having the same problem!I went to a specialist and gived me some aereosol,if it doesen't work in 15days.I will have a tube infiltred to drain acid.This problem is liked to gastrite.

Ginger root if you are consuming alot of protein, protein can make your stomach very acidic from my past exprience, and ginger root seems to settle the stomach. if it gets really bad get some pepcid complete and pop one

I experienced these types of symptoms for the first time after taking Viagra/Cialis, especially the Cialis, because it's longer lasting.
I've used a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) called Nexium (others are Prevacid, Prilosec). It's a sustained release, once a day dosage form, and works mighty well. I don't have to take it every day, which I like.

I had the exact same thing 2 years ago. I could not eat anything, always felt full, gas, burning sensation in my throat.... The best thing to help this is Pantaloc and/or Losec. Take 1-2 tabs/day depending on how bad it really is. For myself it was extremely bad that I could not eat and I just went crazy on the dosages!! LOL!!

The reason for this is due to taking pills on an empty stomach. For example, I got mine when taking a cycle of d-bols and I noticed afterwards when I had the Acid Reflux that I would sometimes take them without food. This what has caused it for me and is one of the most propluar cases!!

i have same problem man, ive still not gone to klinik all winter, im skared to eat ketup or anything with acid, it even makes me throw up at times. The past month tho it has been really good i just stayed away from acidy stuff always carry rolayds and i drink lots of milk and it has pretty much cyored its self. excuse the spelling

The same thing has been happening to me the last week or so, which happens to coincide with going back on clen (Spiropent), usually happens a couple of hours after I eat, in fact it is starting up right now... It did also happen when on viagra one evening to BuffDoc's post.... Never happened before on clen, not sure what has changed other than being off T3 vs the last time I was on clen.

It bugs the hell out of me too.

Thanks for all the replies. Im going to go to the Doc tonight. My cutting diet is being hindered by this as I seriously have no appetite anymore. Downing my protein shakes is fine but any solid food is just unthinkable. Today I had to eat some goddam beef patties because just looking at the veggies and chicken I made last night was disgusting. For some reason the beef pattie was the only thing that I felt I could eat normally but now this acid shit is acting up more then ever since I ate it. Its such a minor inconvenience but it totally kills my drive for the gym because my diet is not intact.

Anyone else notice they are burping a lot more with this condition? When I burp the acid just comes up and sits right there. Very, very uncomfortable.

You may also have a small hiatal hernia (which is when the upper potion of the stomach protrudes back up into the esophagus). This would allow the acid stomach contents to slosh up into the upper esophagus and throat. The sensation of the acid in the throat is termed "water brash".
Or, some medication may be decreasing the tone of your lower esophageal sphincter (no jokes, Fantom! j/k) The LES normally prevents acid from refluxing into the esophagus. I think this may be the mechanism by which Cialis/Viagra cause heartburn.

Biggie, I take 40mg of Nexium ED. I havent had AR or heartburn in 2 years...unless I miss a dose.

I lived in pain for a few years and was taking 2-4 zantacs a day. Nexium is amazing!

Same thing here, the whole thing was extremely unpleasant, I couldnt eat enough to grow and it was teh beginning of my cycle

Biggie, I know exactly what your talking about. I would get it so bad that I got a lot of pain in the center of my chest and around my back.. real bad and uncomfortable. Usually it would come on after eating a fatty meal or if I didn't eat for a while, then the acids in your stomach start flaring up. I actually thought I was having a heart attack a few years back when it first started happening. Finally I recently went to the doctor and he wanted me to go for an outpatient procedure where they put a scope down your throat to see what's up. I guess they check for cancer. I told him to give me some medicine to see if it works and he did. Man, this shit works awesome. It's called Protonix, and I havent had acid reflux since I started taking it. Good luck bro I feel ya.

Thanks for all the replies. Its good to know that this inconvenience is somewhat common. I didnt get to the Doc tonight as work needed to be attended to and then the gym but tomorrow in the morning I will be there.

Heyyo, I started to think the same thing about the clen pump but honestly I have used so many of those damn pumps over time and have never experienced this.

LS, Ill ask the Doc about Nexium tomorrow. Sounds promising.

Needsize, how long after you started treatment did you notice a reduction in this condition.

Buffdoc, its very interesting that you mention that form of hernia. Could something like that possibly be caused by severe vomitting? If so we may be onto something.

Flex, Ill also mention Protonix to the Doc. We'll see what he says.

Had this shit for years. Oral steroids, clen, ECA's all seem to aggravate it. Prevacid works well for me. Here's the problem....1 month supply costs 130 bucks domestic US pharmacy. All these inhibitors cost an arm and a leg.
Unless you have good insurance, get a 90 day Rx and order from Canada for 1/3 to 1/2 the price.

prevacid is my best friend. acid reflux is nothing to let go by the way side. it can cause cancer,

i have berrets disease which is caused when the acid eats a hole into your esophagus [sp??] . i have to go every year now to have a camera shoved down my throat to make sure things are ok.

nexium ,prevacid are both very good

my insurance covers it
