Adrenal fatigue, is it real and how can you diagnose it?

I'm a little worried cause I'm being treated for latent hypothyroidsm. Currently I'm on 50mcg t4.
But the problem is that I read that you must not take thyroid hormones in case you have adrenal fatigue.
But the issue is that adrenal fatigue doesn't even seem to be accepted as a real disease and I also could not find
any doctor online who treats or diagnoses adrenal fatigue. Those few which I found are real nuts which are into ridiculous stuff like ghost healing and crap like that. I don't want to go to such a nut.
In the US it's probably much easier to find a doc who treats AF.
Does anyone know if there are real lab tests to diagnose AF and if there are also drugs to treat it or do you
have to medicate yourself with supplements and herbs cause there are no drugs for it?

I just worry that I might have stressed my adrenals out. I have been under a lot of stress for years. I drink a lot of coffee and often times work at night and then drink alcohol to be able to fall asleep. It's not healthy but at the same time I need alc to fall asleep otherwise I lie in bed and can't sleep.
I also noticed that under stress I often times feel shaky and physically weak especially in my forarms!

Here are a few of the blood tests you can request to see if your adrenal glands are functioning properly:
Adrenocorticotropic Hormone (ACTH)
Cortisol
DHEA
If all of these come back normal, you can have a pretty good idea that your adrenal system is functioning properly

Hello,
I have some labs from last year which include these hormones. My DHEA is also fluctuating. Over the years there were a few incidents where it was really high. I was told it's probably because of stress. On other times it was mediocre.

Can you tell me wether these levels here are okay? ACTH is a bit low.

DHEA 2999 norm : 950-6500 ng/ml
cortisol 120 norm : 50-250 ng/ml
ACTH 15 norm : 10-50 pg/ml

Look like healthy adrenals to my non-doctor eyes. But then again, that was a year ago. Have you talked to your doc about this? Just because Adrenal Fatigue has not yet received an official recognition yet by the big kahuna's doesn't mean that you can't discuss the possibility of an overactive adrenal gland or cortisol being elevated with them.

I would like to learn more about this, I wonder if I have adrenal fatuge.

Not sure how reliable the info is, but >>this<< is a pretty good website I went to when reading up on adrenal fatigue awhile ago. The problem is that a lot of the symptoms are shared with other possible deficiencies that are commonly found. As always, it's often best to seek medical advice from a doctor when you're concerned with a possible disease or condition.

I always felt fatigued and all my tests came back great minus having low vitamin d. After supplementing vit d levels went up to normal. However I still felt tired. Now that I have cut dairy/wheat from my diet I have noticed some increase in energy, and better sleep. Try giving that a shot and maybe switching to hemp protein.

Hello,
I don't really know what to do. I mean I could go to the endo again and get another blood test but this will only show how the levels are at 1 point during the day. I read that you actually needed a profile where you measure cortisol during the day at different time but doctors usually dont do this. :(
