Hello all, new to the forums here,

Anywho, I've been back and fourth between my primary care doctor for symptoms of depression, lack of energy and low sex drive. After being put on a myriad of drugs, everything from potent anti-depressants citalopram, to adderral for the lack of energy. They finally checked my test levels after I asked them too. I came back with one test at 182ng/dL, and another at 242ng/dL. After these two tests they agreed to TRT. However my endocrinologist was reluctant on giving me shots and put me on testim.

Now fast forward 6 months of 50mg/week of testim here is my most recent test:

My primary care doctor who is now watching my test levels and prescribing the testim said that the most recent test levels are fine and within range so he wouldn't want to touch it. Even though I feel a little better than I did 6 months ago, I still have much of the same symptoms. Should I look somewhere else? what's your input? To me it still seems low for a 26 year old, but I'm no expert. Thanks

imo if a guy goes thru the hassle of being on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) they certainly should have better than a 400...I'd find a different doc and go after a trough TT of 600 or better and see how you feel there...

I would definitely look around for another doctor. The important thing is how you feel. I get so pissed off with doctors when they rely on reference ranges. Some guys can have a total test of 400 and feel fine. Others might need to be at a 800-900 to feel the best. This is your body and I would look in to another doctor. I feel like shit with my test levels at a 350-400. I now have my test levels at around 800 and I feel great. I went through 5 doctors before I found an online clinic that knew what the hell they were doing. No doctors here in my city could treat me nor did they know proper testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) protocols. These protocols usually consist of Injectable Test, Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG), and an Anti-estrogen. Gels/Creams are known to aromatize easily to estrogen. You need to check your estrogen levels as well. Having wack estrogen levels can cause ED, higher blood pressure, water retention, more visceral fat, etc. Remember, you are your own best doctor. Get some information and ammo for your next visit. You have to sell the idea to these dumb fucks sometimes. If you get no progress, then you always have online clinics like IMT on this site (IncreasemyT). They definitely know their shit and can get you dialed in.

^^
That is some of the best advice I have every read on here yet, in a clear straight forward way. Thanks Rip!!!!

Ive played the games with general docs, the first lady told me I was fine and its just vitamin D with a level of 203 at 26. This whole thing is a total bitch and most doctors are NOT informed by any means.

IncreasemyT is great too, just had my blood pulled today for them, nothing but good things so far.

Stick around this place, and read the sticky's, there is so much there!

Thanks, those are my same thoughts, if I felt 100% myself I'd be okay at 400 but I just still feel this burden of these low T symptoms. I'm sick of jumping between doctors, (2 primary care, 1 endo) and they all said the same thing, "do the gel". I'm going to look into increasemyt and possibly give them a call.
