Anabolic Vs Androgenic

wow first of all, essay great read man.. im 26 and you got me scared about my prostate! its pretty scary dealing with this stuff we have to show kids that think lets get jacked can just put tren or deca or whatever gear together at there age when theyre cleary anabolic as fuck for there age!

since tren is 500/500 pretty high and even.. is that why its the king for gains ?

My eye s hurt.

Get blood work..and a prostate exam..the more you gear, especially with harsh shit the more cautious you need to be...

i dont have a link but ive seen a study that linked the BPH to estrogen instead of the steroids or testosterone itself.

There were studies that tried to prove that. I'm not sure how conclusive the results were. I can tell you that I had BPH on my most recent cycle, and I was running letrozole.

The problem with a lot of clinical studies is that they need a LOT of proof in order prove something. We know smoking causes lung cancer, but you will still find studies that lack evidence towards that end.

hers what i know for a fact . i dont have bph at 1/2 century old and ive been in the game for a long time.

While I trust your experience and your background, I find it hard to believe you've never had BPH or symptoms of BPH, even temporarily.

had 1 prostate infection but that was during a gall bladder attack and urinary tract infection as well so its hard to blame that on gear. i get the psa check 2 times a year and the old finger up the butt from a uroligist every year .

Great piece about prostate cancer victims --- my father is one. He did NOT undergo the complete removal of his prostate as he feared being incontinent and unable to get an erection.

He said he rather be dead than to lose "the only thing that makes him happy in life--sex."

Sad statements indeed. They planted radioactive seeds all along the prostate gland and covered lots of surface to ensure the cancer was taken care of.

Tests showed great results for a year.....then his checkout after 2 years was not good---they said they found cancer and he needs to get checked out.

He put it on the back burner and assumed the Doctor's just want to keep operating and medicating him as he will die either way, but rather be working, taking care of his family and not being out of commission for weeks + have no ability to have sex.

I am perplexed and concerned and figure I may as well seek a naturopathic Doctor to treat him. At least it will be some form of treatment to keep him around longer.

This all scares the hell out of me...

Well I applaud you for paying attention to your prostate health brother. Most users could take a page from your book in that regard. I also wouldn't blame prostate activity on gear if there was a gall bladder problem or infection at the time...

we need zeke to chime in , he was around when they built the pyramids like i was , wonder if his prostate is ok.

on a side note , ALWAYS get up and pee after a orgasm to flush seminal fluid out , dont rollover and go to sleep. thats a recipe for prostate infection according to some medical folks.

^I have heard that also.

I don't think we can ignore the effect of steroids on prostate. We literally rate every steroid for androgen directly based on weighing of the prostate. Tren has a 500 rating because it causes 500% more prostate growth than test.

Now I am scarred and confused. WTF! I am an older guy wanting to do his first cycle to restore some of my youth/pride and you guys are telling me that after I am done I probably will not get it up anymore?:wtf:

Pardon my french, but learn to fucking read.

Matt:

Very sorry to hear about your father. It's probably my biggest fear in life. Death doesn't scare me in the slightest. I face death often at work and I've made my peace with it. Living without proper function of my urinary tract and sex life... I'm not sure what I'd do.

Since your father already has issues... I'm not sure this will do much for him, but it's good information for everyone else, and I'm sure it won't negatively affect your father if he wanted to try it:

Abstract
We earlier provided evidence that oral consumption of pomegranate fruit extract (PFE) inhibits prostate cancer (PCa) cell growth in nude mice. To ascertain convincing evidence of chemopreventive effects of PFE against PCa, its efficacy requires to be evaluated in animal models that closely emulate human disease. Here, we provide evidence of remarkable tumor growth inhibitory effects of PFE using the TRAMP model. Mice received 0.1% and 0.2% PFE,equivalent to 250 and 500 ml of pomegranate juice,in drinking water, starting at 6 weeks and examined at 12, 20 and 34 weeks of age. In water-fed group, 100% mice developed palpable tumors by 20 weeks compared to only 30% and 20% in the 0.1% and 0.2% PFE-supplemented groups respectively. At 34 weeks palpable tumors were observed in 70% of 0.1% and only 50% of 0.2% PFE-supplemented mice. Compared to median survival of 43 weeks in water-fed mice, 0.1% and 0.2% PFE-supplemented mice exhibited median life expectancy of 73 and 92 weeks respectively. Compared to respective water fed-groups, none of the mice inPFE-supplemented groups exhibited metastases to any of the distant organs at 20 weeks and only 20% mice exhibited metastasis at 34 weeks of age. Many of the PFE-supplemented animals had multiple foci of well differentiated carcinoma but noevidence of poorly differentiated carcinoma. PFE supplementation resulted in simultaneous and significant inhibition of IGF-I/Akt/mTOR pathways in the prostate tissues and tumors. We suggest that pomegranate juice be evaluated in clinical trials in patients at high risk for developing PCa.

Abstract
Prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths among US males. Pomegranate juice (PJ), a natural product, was shown in a clinical trial to inhibit progression of this disease. However, the underlying mechanisms involved in the anti-progression effects of PJ on prostate cancer remain unclear. Here we show that, in addition to causing cell death of hormone-refractory prostate cancer cells, PJ also increases cell adhesion and decreases cell migration of the cells that do not die. We hypothesized that PJ does so by stimulating the expression and/or activation of molecules that alter the cytoskeleton and the adhesion machinery of prostate cancer cells, resulting in enhanced cell adhesion and reduced cell migration. We took an integrative approach to these studies by using Affimetrix gene arrays to study gene expression, microRNA arrays to study the non-coding RNAs, molecules known to be disregulated in cancer cells, and Luminex Multiplex array assays to study the level of secreted pro-inflammatory cytokines/chemokines. PJ up-regulates genes involved in cell adhesion such as E-cadherin, intercellular adhesion molecule 1 (ICAM-1) and down-regulates genes involved in cell migration such as hyaluranan-mediated motility receptor (HMMR) and type I collagen. In addition, anti-invasive microRNAs such as miR-335, miR-205, miR-200, and miR-126, were up-regulated, whereas pro-invasive microRNA such as miR-21 and miR-373, were down-regulated. Moreover, PJ significantly reduced the level of secreted pro-inflammatory cytokines/chemokines such as IL-6, IL-12p40, IL-1***946; and RANTES, thereby having the potential to decrease inflammation and its impact on cancer progression. PJ also inhibits the ability of the chemokine SDF1***945; to chemoattract these cancer cells. SDF1***945; and its receptor CXCR4 are important in metastasis of cancer cells to the bone. Discovery of the mechanisms by which this enhanced adhesion and reduced migration are accomplished can lead to sophisticated and effective prevention of metastasis in prostate and potentially other cancers.

Pomegranate Juice gentlemen, we should all be drinking it. Be sure to get pure pomegranate juice concentrate. Drink a small glass daily.
