Anavar (first) cycle

So I've decided to start a var cycle and wanted to share my experience with everyone here since I've learnt so much from this forum and its great members.

Am going to run Anavar (5mg pills by Denkall Oxandrovet) and post cycle therapy (pct) with Clomid (50mg pills from Terragon Labs, Russia) and Nolvadex (10mg pills from Biotech Pharma, Ukraine). Am planning to run var for 8 weeks then post cycle therapy (pct) for 2 weeks with Clomid 50mg ED and Nolva 20mg ED.

Here are some of my stats:
Height: 5' 6"
Weight: 173 Lbs
BF: 13%
Years training: 6
Age: 29
Diet: ~4000 kCals/day (340g protein, 470g carbs, 100g fats)

I'm going to try to update this daily (as long as time permits) with my workouts, stats, and any other relevant info.
 
My current workout is based on super sets. I have another week of that before I switch it around to something new.

* Workout: Chest, front + side shoulders
* Var: 20mg
* Sides: none

* Notes:
Work out was the same as previous time, took var around 3 hours before
workout and around 12 hours later (9 am, 9 pm). Nothing new so far. Day went
well, did not notice anything special. As I was doing dishes around 10 pm (1
hour after the var) I felt my lower back was a little pumped. I don't know
if its because of the var (too early?) or because I spent part of the day
walking around and I was standing up for a while at the sink. Still feel it
now as I'm typing this, time to retire to bed soon.

* Routine:

Super set 1:
Chest Press (DB) 85/10 95/8 95/8
Chest Hammer Press 90/10 110/5 110/5 -> 55/8 (drop set)

Super set 2:
Incline Chest Press (DB) 70/10 70/7 70/8
Incline Flys 40/10 40/8 40/10

Super set 4:
Shoulder flyes (DB) 40/10 50/10 55/10

* Sides: kidney pain, took 270mg x 3 cranberry extract

Workout went pretty well, weights have gone up but that might just be my
normal weight increase every week. I've been doing super sets the past few
weeks and I still have another week to go on that program. Started milk
thistle at 300mg x 3 daily as well. Towards the end of the workout I noticed
some increased vascularity and muscles were rock hard. Rock hard muscles
seem to be there all the time now.

Super set 2:
Bent over row (DB, both arms) 65x10 65x10 70x10

* Var: 25mg
* Sides: appetite slightly suppressed, bloating

* Notes:
Major pumps today that started as early as my second warm up set. All
through out I felt like the pumps were going to get in the way but they did
not. Got more looks and gazes than I usually get when I work out. Maybe the
intensity is all in my head at this point, or maybe the var is starting to
kick in. I did feel like some of the moves were considerably easier today
than the last workout. I was also getting pumps that I usually don't get on
this day like shoulder / trap and some chest pumps when I did close grips (I
usually don't even when I up the weights). On another note, I split my var a
bit differently today, 10mg morning, 7.5 mg 8 hours later and will be taking
another 7.5 mg at midnight.

Super set 1:
Barbell curls 75x10 90x10 120x8
Seated Alternating curls (DB) 35x10 35x10 35x10

Super set 2:
Hammer curls 35x10 40x10 45x10
Rope machine hammer curls 80x10 80x8 80x8

* Var: 25mg
* Sides: appetite still slightly suppressed, bloating

* Notes:
Today was fantastic. I killed my workout. Strength + endurance were
higher than usual. Pumps were great, sometimes a little too great to the
point where moving the legs to walk around the gym was proving painful. I
upped my weights in all moves and performed 10 repetitions or more on all my
sets. Var was taken at 7.5 mg in the morning, 10 mg in the afternoon, and
will take another 7.5 mg at midnight. The 10 mg in the afternoon seemed to
help the workout, that or it was all in my head, but I'm going to continue
down that road for now.

Something that I've noticed the past few days is that the lower back pumps seem to manifest themselves a lot after my last dose of var at midnight. It might be because by that time I'm tired and I'd have been standing up for a while cooking and packing my meals for the next day.

Today was my break day. Things were normal with the exception of appetite suppression which was more than the past few days. Had some digestion issues as well, we'll see how it goes.
 
Ok, I'm 5'5 195 solid with a wide solid frame and about 15% body fat. I'm getting ready to purchase my first cycle of ANAVAR. Will I see results in weight loss with my first cycle? How long should my first cycle last and how many mg's per day would be most effective considering my weight? Also, will I need post-cycle therapy even though ANAVAR is mild?

but to answer your question:

1. not unless you diet properly. AAS doesn't make you lose fat.
2. 10 weeks. and with Test @ 500mg.w, Anavar only is a girl cycle.
3. Yes. All AAS shut you down.

Today is all about one thing: the pump. As soon as I ended my first super set I could feel an extreme pump in my chest. Soon after it was followed by a shoulder, triceps, and at some point forearm pump. Towards the end of the workout the pump was so strong in my shoulders I had some serious trouble trying to wipe the sweat off my face. Noticed some strength gains and way more fullness in the mirror when working out and I really blasted thro
ugh my shoulder workout and upped the weights.

Back pumps from Var? Never heard of those.

I noticed you experienced kidney pains. Never heard of these on Var either. Are you taking anything for your health? Red Yeast Rice, Milk Thistle, etc?

Those "back pumps" were nothing special. After thinking about my daily routine I noticed that I do some house work (dishes, clean up my pet litter, move some things around, etc) at night after my long days. This was causing some overall pumps, most evident in my lower back because it would be tired.

As for kidney pain, after thinking about it as well, it was a long day out where I did not have enough water (barely any). I've not felt that since and am making sure I drink enough water.

As for supps, I'm taking liver supps (LiverCare and Milk Thistle) and some cranberry extract for the kidneys.

Good workout overall, pumps were huge and affected supporting muscles a lot this time around. Workout was performed with slightly heavier weights and reps for some moves in a little bit less time than last week. I felt good and massively pumped (skin stretching more than ever) after I was done, I still feel my arms are lacking compared to the rest of my body. Need to think about my arm workout and figure out how to break through this arm nightmare.

All I can say is, what a day! Strength was awesome and I felt like I could
go on forever. The legs were really pumped and I didn't mind looking in the
mirror several times. My appetite is back big time and I'm feeling every
minute between my meals. Another great suprise today was an additional 4
pounds on the scale (checked BF, same, no signs of water retention).
