Anti Estrogen Tirade

So in reality dandelion root wont do anything for E related water retention and the effect I am seeing is from it flushing sodium from my system instead?

I ran a minimum of 500-750mgs EW of TE or TC for maintenance in between cycles 3yrs straight then cut back to 250 EW about a year ago basically to help keep my dong working correctly. About 2 months after cutting back I gained a good 10-15lbs along with a size in my waist line. I've pondered for awhile now whether or not it was some sort of E related rebound due to my decrease in T (though in theory higher T should equate to higher E) thus causing E related fat. I've maintained the same weight since that initial gain. I'm curious enough to get my E levels checked to see if that is in fact the problem. And if it is I was wondering if a low dose of Nolva or aromasin over time would help decrease estrogen related fat retention

dandelion root is a potassium sparing loop diuretic. it will help your retain potassium while flushing sodium.

you probably want to look at your diet.

E fat pattern does not just go away, even with E suppression (well over time that will have an impact).

you may also want to look at insulin sensitivity as part of your water/fat problems (which androgens can aggravate). do you do cardio frequently or use insulin sensitizers/glucose uptake agents like Glucorell (r-lipoic/biotin) or Green tea (EGCG)? Watch your saturated fat intake? avoid hydrogenated oils/ fried foods?

nolva is agonistic in adipose tissue (it causes fat gain, at least in menopausal women).

where did you gain the fat, if it more handles, lowback and lower abs (particularly if its soft in character) then estrogen is the likely culprit. Using aromasin or AIFM in conjunction with yohimburn ES (blocking the A2 receptor) would be beneficial in this situation. if the fat is more central belly fat and there is distention (intraabdominal fat) then insulin issues may be the more likely cause, in that case supplements like glucorell and green tea extract can be helpful as well as increasing cardio and adjusting diet (avoid sugar and high fructose intake, avoid hydrogenated oils, limit saturated fats).

Defiantly more in the lower back, abs and love handles. The fat is softer however this may sound weird but in general I have very tight hard fat. I have a few friends that are a bit leaner then me but look worse because their fat looks flabby.I tend to gain fat from the sides of my chest all the way down to my love handles, always been the last area for me to shed it. I have bouts of distention, I attribute it to drinking milk. I was severely lactose intolerant from age 15-20 then it went away, though if I eat a bowl of cereal I feel distended immediately after but I don't get the other symptoms any more.

I'm still holding 12-13% @ 260-265 - previously when I was running higher amounts of test I would hold 242- 250 @ 10% -11% very easily. I turned 30 last July also (when I lowered my doses) , I thought it could just be that my age is catching up but the weight gain happened 2 months after dropping the dose so I ruled out the age factor. I'm on prescribed HRT 250mgs TE/EW - I spoke to my doc about it and all he can do is speculate also.

Thanks for taking your time with this Marco, much appreciated

I'll look into to those things..thanks marco..nice to have a direction to take as i have run out of ideas.
what about dairy products? I do like my cheese. cut way back on milk even though i love, love it.
even during racket ball touneys, months of high intensity cardio not much change at all.

For me.. its definitely gear related.
when I'm OFF, my boobs get smaller, almost back to where they were before the cycle. well hrt.
I'm not concerned about being at 10% BF. in my profession eating out is a must.
that has never made my boobs oddly huge before.
