Anyone Else Prefer To Workout By Themselves?

I find that I'm way more focused and intense when I workout alone. I offered to help a friend get in shape and what does she do...? She invites her damn cousin to workout with me!! I'm all for helping when someone needs it but I'm not your free personal trainer and certainly not your thug ass cousins trainer! All he did was talk about "my boy is juicing like hell, I need to find out what he's got" or "I need some steroids and I'll be where you are". He was way too loud and full of shit for me. And on too of that, he tried to tell ME what exercises I should be doing because "his boy" does them. What the fuck?! Go draw attention to someone else you punk, I'll workout alone.
 
I used to love training on my own. It has it benefits obviously but I'm currently working out with a buddy that really needed help. He's no stick boy but never really trained free weights dedicated before. He was a track and long distance bike guy. He has very limited knowledge, 10 yrs older than I, and likes to take short cuts. I found it kinda motivating tho actually. Looking at him n knowing where he COULD BE, I don't mind watching the transformation and am intrigued. I told him if yur working with me, we do it MY way or NO way. I don't hardly have the time to do my own shit let alone give him pointers at the same time for another workout that's completely different. I said were gonna train for size 1st. Give me 8 months n see if u don't like what u see in the mirror. So far so good, he's not whining(for the most part) and takes direction well. We talk here n there during workouts but he knows it's all business. Yesterday was leg day n I busted his ass good. Took home 5 min to get outta my car when I dropped him off lol. I took him in slowly as not to get him hurt but his feet r wet now...I can see my attitude n ways rubbing off on him in a good way. He knows what were after n not afraid to get there. He's come along nicely and I enjoy him there. Just waiting to see his attitude when I'm on cycle lol. I've told him what's coming because he will wonder...wtf??! And I don't give a shit what anyone thinks what I do with my body n the research I do to get there. He's deathly scared of needles so at least I don't have to worry about him wanting juice!! ;)

None of my friends are on my level or dedicated enough.

I would like a training partner to go Dorian style while feeling safe, but usually it can hinder my performance with too much rest time. I go to the gym to break muscle fibers, not socialize.

I do a lot of CrossFit, so you have to enjoy that kind of group setting if you're going to get into it. When strictly strength training and hitting up a globo gym I prefer to lift alone.
 
I don't have a gym close to me so I workout by myself most of the time, if I'm lifting really heavy I call my brother for a spot. I do what I can with what I got.
 
60/40 split. Rather ave a training partner as long as they were dedicated and serios but always have them days where I like being alone.
