That is funny dude. I realize you are serious though. But this is why it stuck me funny. I always try to go heavy on my rowing, or I feel like I am not hitting my back at all. So it feels like my back starts off at about 70 degrees, not at 90. And then to get the weight moving at first I use my back a little, feels like I get up to about 50 degrees already. Then because it is really heavy it stops dead about 4 inches before hitting my chest.
But when I did a clip of myself doing them the angle was more like 80 degrees to start off, and I only came up a little at the start, it looked no where near as bad as I thought it looked, even how high I got the weight up.
Whenever I have tried to lower the weight to improve my form a bit more, I have to drop it a lot for a slight improvement in form. So I decided to find that magic weight where, the form is almost as good, feels very heavy, but if I go any heavier, I can feel the form really go down hill, and once again, I am then not maximizing the load on my back and bi's.
Because of all of that I do 1 arm supported rowing too after barbell rowing.
Kind of a just for fun reply, not sure if it is worth too much.
