anyone still use grapefruit in conjuction with their orals like dbol?

I remember hearing a bit about this a while ago and wanted to attempt it this round. .This is what I've read....the reason that grapefruit juice increases the potency of medications is due to a group of chemicals called furanocoumarins. 6,7 dihydroxybergamottin is the specific compound that is responsible for this. The chemical interferes with the hepatic and intestinal enzyme cytochromes P450 and CYP3A4. It also interferes with glycoproteins and OATPs (organic anion transporting polypeptides) without getting into too much scientific detail, it increases the bioavailability of many medications, steroids being no exception. It is quite a cost effective way of increasing the potency and results of your gear.

This would prolong dbols half life and benefit your total blood levels of this oral.
 
It's funny when I picked up a prescription for Viagara this is what the pharmacist told me as well.

It never occurred too me that this would apply to AAS as well.

Would be interested in any feedback on this as well.
 
yea i have used this in the past.. didn't exactly notice a difference.. bu grapefruit is good for you anyways.. have at it

I tried it using juice from whole grapefruit, and I didn't notice much of a change to be honest. I have a feeling that it requires a significant amount to get any true benefits from it.

Be careful guys, this can effect other drugs as well. If you're on bp meds for example, you may end up going too low.

I take my orals with a glass of grapefruit juice. Can't say for sure if it has made any noticeable difference, but if I think something is helping even a little, i'll do it.

the only thing I remember about grapefruit juice was advising people to take it with their creatine for better absorption due to the high sugar content.

Ya it's generally believed that taking creatine with simple sugars helps with absorption into the muscles. The idea behind grapefruit with orals is that grapefruits have an enzyme in them that has an effect on the liver. It somehow stops or slows the liver from filtering substances, so more of the drug survives the pass through.

If I remember properly when I first started taking creatine when it came out it was grape juice that we were told to take it with.

ahhh yes because the citric acid in citrus drinks supposedly breaks down the creatine into creatinine rendering it useless. Who the hell knows anymore lol.
 
Gosh... lately I've been really trying to steer clear of the minutia..

I just take my drugs (very moderate dosages), train balls to the wall, and eat my fucking food..

I don't count calories, i eat what I know I need to eat per meal.

I don't try and potentiate my drugs or fuck around with the dosages etc

And my training is not over thought or over complicatrd..


And believe it or not I'm growing like a weed and staying lean

250mg test e psl
750mg eq psl (eq is very mild but at doses 750-2g is very anabolic just remember to watch your blood
50mg tren ace ed
2-4 iu gh usually ed.. but I use it in conjuction with humalog so really just when I plan on eating a really good post workout meal
2-10 iu humalog pre workout with hbcd, glutamine, creatine, eaa, bcaa

Insulin/gh protocol is

45mins preworkout 4iu gh this follows my pwo meal
15 preworkout 4-10 iu humalog..
Followed by mentioned shake above. 50-100g hbcd, 10g creatine, 30g bcaa/eaa, 10g glutamine.

Post workout shake
50g wpi
75g simple carbs

1hr-1hr30m post meal 8-12 oz lean meat or fish
75-150 carbs.

Currently 210lb 511 sitting around 10% bf.. currently putting on a good 2-3lbs a week I'd say while keeping very visible abs...

And I also feel this is one of those most productive and safest cycles not counting the slin and gh for my goals. ...

I get blood work done monthly.. my urologist knows what I do, i have a blood glucose meter and make sure I don't go hypo... i do self phlebotomy every 56 days. My diet in is check

6 meals a day.. 40-60g protein 50-100g carbs 5g-20g fat . Per meal. Everything varies due to what body part I'm traibing, how I'm feeling, and tons of other variables....

It may seem like I focus on minutia, and yes I do... but the minutia is not whats letting me progress.. it isn't the little things...

It's me getting 6 meals in, training 3-4 days a week, sleeping 8-10hrs a day, i drink atleast a gallon if not 2 of water a day..
