BCAA products VS Leucine/Valine/Isoleucine products

In short on there are many Amino products on the market.

They generally come as BCAA or the combination of these 3 Aminos higher dosages = Leu/Val/Iso.

Building muscle (stopping muscle deterioration etc ) is the game which product should I chose and why?

Surely overall the BCAA would be better? surely too much of certain particular Aminos WILL cause deficiencies in other areas of the body (headaches, depletes concentration levels etc)

Is there a maximum bodybuilding safe level for the combination of Leu/Val/Iso? I have read in general 7grams a day is approx?

or maybe a product that has BCAA with higher concentrates of Leu/Val/Iso combined?

Thank you in advance

I read a few peer reviewed studies that suggested BCAA are better together. Although they did say Leucine is the most beneficial, it has a synergystic effect when combined with Iso-Leucine and Valine. I take about 10mg of BCAA per day through supplementing but remember foods such as a single egg white contain over 1 gram of leucine.

leucine is generally the most critical, and is almost always dosed the highest in BCAA products accordingly. I've tried the usp labs modern bcaa too, real good stuff. xtend is prolly my fav. With powerchews being the most convenient and easiest.

I don't like 8-1 ratio products. I like them as balanced as I can get them. Often times il buy bulk taurine/creatine/beta alanine and mix all of them together.

I use Core ABC as my BCAA product - non proprietary blend, 5g leucine, 2.5 g valine, 2.5g isoleucine, 2.5g glutamine, 2.5g beta alaine, 2.5g citrulline

Your thread title is a MISNOMER - BCAAs are Lecuine/Valine/Isoleucine - I think what you were thinking is EAA (essential amino acids - contain a complete amino profile) VS BCAAs.

But I do 4 servings of the Core ABC on training days - BCAAs and EAAs play a more prominent role when you are dieting and eating less calories IMO

I've been stuck on purple wrath for a few months now for my BCAA's And then I'll add Amino 1000 tabs twice a day.

I don't personally think they are a scam as like TheDarkHalf said, they are best beneficial when you are dieting.
