I knew i liked chris "Ox" Mason..IM looking forward to seeing what this thing looks like..I just cant believe no one else has thought of this already but good for Ox hope it works out..sounds promising..Heres a little summary

Thanks for the interrest in the "Big bench Belt". I am currently waiting on my patent to come thru. I will meet again with the patent lawyer again next week. I spoke to Jim Wendler just yesterday about selling it thru Elite, and i will also sell it thru my site, oxsportz.com. This belt will still give a lifter plenty of I.A.P. (interabdominal pressure) to stay tight, and allow a big arch. If a lifter doesn't have a belly, the belt will create one (to shorten the stroke) or if the lifter has a big belly, it will make it larger. Just think of it a dude with a big belly, wearing a belt to make it bigger!! Only in powerlifting!!

Keep checking Elite and oxsportz for updates. I am hoping to be able to unleash the belt at the APF Seniors (if my patent comes thru).

I'd feel like I were cheating I think, but it is kinda funny how as long as a guy touches the guy he is good to go. Cuz some of those guys, do have some big guts.

I'm not too svelte either though admitedly.

any pics as of yet? ill have to corner him up when i see him and find out whats going on.

i would imagine no pics until he gets it patented..

Mudge-
im not sure how much "belly" it would create if you dont have one..it may allow optimal ab pressure and make it easier for anyone to push their abs out and shorten the stroke but i couldnt imagine someone with 8% BF being inflated like a balloon lol

true some guys have a very short stroke..its all timing and practice..learning when to really inflate and touch to get max push

I dont have a huge gut but I am certainly not ripped, no sir.

I touched with 3 plates tonight in the shirt, I think I've been using it 5 or possibly 6 sessions now. Shirt seems to fit really nicely, just goes on perfectly, good snap at the bottom, and I can finally touch. Wrists are feeling good so the numbers are up 20 pounds from last week, but I'm not hitting 50000 pounds like you yet.

Single ply Titan Fury if your brain is absent.

How come all you new schoolers like the belts, straps, suits, bench shirts la di la da. What hAPPENED TO TAKIN YOU SHIRT OFF AND GETTIN IN THERE RAW AND JUST HITTIN IT

cool..
dont compare single ply lifts and double ply lifts unless you are comparing it oneself and how much of a difference you get..

i see it all over other PL boards guys arguing about whos better IPF (single ply) or WPO (2-ply)

then theres teh whole oter argument about how so and so can only bench 500 raw but puts up 750 in a shirt???i mean who cares hes not a raw lifter lol

anyways good luck with the shirt sounds like its coming along nicely

we probablly have calleses older than him :insane2:

I'm sure eventually I will go double denim, this shirt is just for trainin'.

As for what happened to raw lifters (Glen Chabot) they kept ripping shit. When you know what its like to be under 650+ on the bar raw, come tell us how it feels to be doing that shit every week. Somehow I almost think Ronnie could be doing heavy weights into his 60s and never hurt, but I on the other hand have to listen to my body. I was getting weird twinge sensations in my left pec almost every week I put myself under 400+ raw.

What are you getting out of the Fury. I just ordered a 52 F6 that should be here any day. I have a 2 ply 52 F6 but i figure i will work in the single ply for now. Always good to have around as well as i have a big USPF presence in my state.

ill relay a little of my shortened experience lol
if you are benching very low like the MM guys i think a DD and prolly the crawford signature shirt si the way to go..

im finding that im getting very low with my benching but the groove of my metal shirt is a little higher..

I plan on picking up an Inzer DD on the cheap just to try things out and if its goes well then get myself the MM/Crawford shirt and see whats better that or the Viking

yep i saw that
which did you buy?

I am not sure, it think it was a radical grid stitched scoop, i only paid 60 bucks for it, it has definately been worn a few times. I will give it a shot some time, whenever i train with someone who uses one. I am not going to play around with it myself.

Its hard to say, I'll relay my experiences as to why.

My best ever raw bench was 425, I was running some drol, 500 Test, and I started 500 Tren Enan not too long ago. At that time my shirt wasn't broken in and I should have been able to hit 455 based on what I was repping with, but I could not get more than 450 even. I was hitting way too high on the shirt making it an all arm bench press. I still bench higher on the shirt than I do raw, and I can't arch really at all with the belt and probably shirt design since its not a F6. So, I've seen 25 out of it once upon a time.

Now the shirt feels broken in to me, however I dont raw bench anymore unless there are boards in the picture, and I'm not on drol anymore so I'm working my way back up as it is. I did 425 in the shirt last week and I expect I could have had 430/435, but I didn't push. My wrists are feeling about 95% which is where I think the strength came from because seriously, I was hurting under 4 plates just a couple weeks ago. Fuckin lame. The wrist wraps I use are not as good as the black/red Inzers, I have the white Metal wraps, they work ok but they are not nearly as stiff.

I am considering dropping boards from my raw day because I dont know what my raw bench is, and I wonder if my bench is suffereing because of it. I am using a slightly worked Shawn Lattimer version of the MM routine.

My shirt is a single ply Fury in case anyone has forgotten, and its currently 2.5" oversized.
