Yeah nsaids are brutal on the kidneys, i learned that the hard way one time. Its amazing they are sold so indiscriminately OTC without warning re potential renal effects.

What about low dose like 80mgs/day?? For heart health.

Id tend to say not bad for them at all unless you have pre existing kidney issues. I mean just one aspirin (regular) is 325mgs and people take at least 2. We are only talking 82mgs here! Plus honestly ibuprofen and naproxen are much worse on kidneys than aspirin is anyway so I think an 82mg enteric aspirin daily is just fine for sure.

Per aspirin topic, I had no negative shifts on kidney function tests with aspirin therapy. Did labs prior and again 3 months after starting it, no change.

Good to know. I've been on daily regimen of aspirin for quite a while now.
