:confused:Alright fellas - I am looking for some guidance. I am about to turn 40 and am looking for some change. I am tired of feeling down about my current physique, lack of sex drive etc etc.

I do attribute this urgent desire for change to a "mid life crisis" of sorts - but I have made up my mind...I want to do my first cycle now.

What I need help with is the creation of a program that a "recreational" body builder/ working professional - can stick with. I am not in the gym for hours every day. I simply don't have the time to consume endless calories.

Don't misunderstand - I am not new to training, dieting and supplements. I have trained to my low BF of 6% several years ago and lifted and eaten my way to 225 lbs. I am just realistic about my commitment level. I want to look and feel great.

Long story short - I want the best and most productive program for my age and commitment level.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I am:

+40 years old
+6'0"
+215
+20 years training with on and off commitment levels
+18% BF

Welcome. Get some blood work done to see how it all looks, you could be a candidate for testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) (there is a testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) forum on this site). Read and learn. You don't have to put much time into your meals or training. Efficiency and intensity are key. Good luck

Ok had tests done and test level were low as expected. The Dr is willing to prescribe test but will be therapeutic levels only (100 mgs) per week. Although this may remedy the low libido issue, I don't think it will be enough to stimulate the growth and strength gains that I am looking for.

So I think I will supplement the prescribed dose on my own at about 400 mgs per week (+ 100 mgs per week from Dr = 500 mgs per week total)

+1 for badmofo advice. 500mg per week total test is NOT a testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) dose bro, I have seen big motherfuckers 240lbs of muscle and they take 250mg per week while on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT).

If you havnt used any steroids for years then I dont think you really need testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) right now do you. You can do a solid cycle and then get bloodwork done and consider testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) after that.

You say you got to 6% bf years ago, so I assume you have some experience with compounds. What have you used before? ALso how long has it been since your last cycle?
You can still get gains from a low dosage of Testosterone only, trust me bro

Sorry about the last post Stone - have since read the rules completely.

My test count is 384. Apparently I misunderstood the Dr. He wants me to do 100 mgs every third day + usage of gel. I can't find a whole lot of info from anyone who has used a similar treatment.

My experience with compounds is strictly limited to health store supplements and creatine (wrecks my stomach.) When I got down to 6% I weighed about 165 lbs and was doing a ton of cardio in addition to weights - hardly overly muscled.

Ultimately I want to be fit, strong and healthy with a normal libido (could be that I just need a new woman - always seems to solve the prob:)

I just need someone to be straight with me - point me in the direction of cycle that will fit the bill. I realize the plethora of options but I want a concise strategy from you vets :

a. Be a product that will be attainable on a regular basis (nothing overly exotic)
b. Be affordable
c. Minimal possibilities of sides
d. Ultimately effective

Thanks again fellas
