Big favor to ask the big guys

Bro, you're not coming across as an ass, just impatient. and trust me, lots of us have been there. Just remember that science can't and won't explain everything. human will is incredible. and there is a reason vets (like 3j for instance) attribute so little to actual gear itself.

nutritional science, knowledge, and practice back in arnold's day wasn't nearly what it is today. neither was contest prep.

When people say 230-235 cut all I think is Arnold and I'm instantly bullshit

Dude you need to get off of the Arnold kick.. He was great for his time, and had an incredible mental game, but he was not overly impressive. There are many highly gifted individuals out there today, who lift for the love of bodybuilding with equally impressive frames.

Some people can pack on mass easily, and I know plenty of them. But I also know plenty of people who are hard gainers.

You're killin me man! Please take those Arnold comments back lol..

If you really are consuming that many calories of clean food per day and not gaining weight I would suggest "dirtying" up the diet alittle bit to make it easyer to get the calories in every day. A calorie is a calorie so just hit your macros/micros every day from mostly whole/minimally processed foods but don't be afraid to throw in some good stuff here and there man.

I have a ravenous hunger, I can sit down and eat 2 large pizzas if I'd like to, plates upon plates of pasta, down 99% chicken, I just can't see myself stopping or even reducing my time on the court playing basketball lol, normally I've ran sprints twice a week, or mixed in heavy bag boxing, I won't do that any longer and I'll eat more, it's in the cals. I've never been considered a small guy or a hard gainer, I'm tall, broad shouldered, and strong.

I never do cardio ever and in my off season I sit just below 10% bf. As soon as I start adding in cardio twice a week I shrink shrink shrink and my strength goes down the toilet.

My routine:
chest, arms, legs, shoulders, back, (if my body feels rested and im on enough gear ill come back a 6th day and hit legs again).

The secret to both mass and strength is whole grain pasta and ground beef. Nothing will make u stronger than whole grain pasta, its insane. I never really do a full on bulk while Im on a cycle I only ever recomp and cut with gear because Its easy to bulk without steroids.

I like to eat extremely strict while cycling then hit the pasta and beef hard as I come off cycle and in between cycles to keep all my strength, I usually gain strength between cycles too.

look at power lifters, they dont work out as much and get bigger and stronger..you are growing in the bed more than the gym,try 4 days a week with 45-1hr work out and one leg day=total 5 days...you will see a difference..2days of a week and i see the best results..thats just me though.make sure to drink a healthy protein drink right before bedtime for complete muscle recovery.

just took a look around the net for 6'2 frames and at 195 @ 10% - impossible to gain 35 lbs of lean muscle that's bullshit. Even if you bulked up to cut down. Not achievable naturally. I would have to be bloated to the gills

I'd have to disagree. Everyone in the NFL isn't on roids. Eddie George was 6'3 240 duno his bf but was probly low

I stand behind my original comment. You are over thinking this. Drop the cardio, spend less than 45minutes training and eat more clean calories....Shakes are shit. Eat whole foods. PWO shake is fine, but if you are getting more than 25% of your protein from shakes your screwing yourself....children, the reason you see pros drinking shake in photos and videos is because they get sponsor money....and bro you are a hard gainer. I'm 6'2" 226 and sub 9% BF. you are skinny. Because you run (that's why you have a runners body.....think about it ) and you are not eating enough.

The last thing you need to do is hit muscle groups twice a week. I get it you love to train. The guys that train twice a week that aren't overtraining are on juice. You said you are not, so forget this option.

I am not a hard gainer jack, I'm about 10 times more active then most people have ever been, all I need to do is make up the calories or drop the cardio. This hard gainer shit makes me want to reach through my computer and knock your dumbass out

...Shakes are shit. Eat whole foods. PWO shake is fine, but if you are getting more than 25% of your protein from shakes your screwing yourself....

You say this but how can you back this up? How is protein in liquid form any different than protein from a whole food? I've never seen any evidence to support these claims at all... Meeting your macros is meeting your macros...

I have two shakes a day 1.5 scoops each and I see gains. Maybe if someone was having a tripple scoop shake where most of it was being pissed out, sure, but 50g of protein in a shake can easily be absored by the body.

I agree with rediculous87 with the not training every bodypart 2 times a week. Expecially with all that cardio. Your way overtraining for trying to bulk up. I always do a 5 day split with 1 musclegroup a day besides ABS and calves and ear upwards of 5-6 thousand cals a day with little to no cardio. At most ill do 2 20 min sessions of the stare climber just to keep my heart healthy but I am a hard gainer so I can get away with it. It sounds to me that even though your asking for all this advice your not wanting to really change your routine and sometimes less is more bro. Not trying to be a dick im just trying to help. Good luck with gaining that size. Its a bitch. Eat, eat, eat and then eat some more lol

When I was a wee lad in the gym trying to bulk up I found the biggest guy in there and said what do I do? He told me "Eat until you are going to puke.. And then keep eating more." I was like wont I get fat? He said fat comes on with muscle and muscle comes off with fat, if you are trying to get big u need to put on the mass, worry about the fat later.

Sage advice.

I'll stick to my 3 day chest/back/leg groups but it's obvious 3800 cals aint doing shit. Dropping the sprints, continuing to play lax basketball, gonna up my intake dirty or not by 1k and see if it doesn't have a compounding affect with the drop in cardio

After all tgis talk and your still going to keep doing what is not working......smfh then why even ask for advice pupil...why in the hell waste everyones time to include yours mine and every other fucking person posting trying to help u.

Next time you want advice, befpre you type word one ask yourself this. Am I going to take it or I am going to keep doing the same ole shit that isnt working.....when you answer thruthfully which is fuck all these idiots I know what am doing even though is not working....guess what you just saved yourself a shit load of time that you could have used to eat work out jack off or watch some porn.....

Smfh

I'm 6'3" and 240 lbs and 18% BF yeah feel like a fatass at the moment but been bulking a little, haven't done any cycles yet plan on doing my first cycle sometime in the next week or so. My workout routine is M-F...
M-Chest (sometimes add tricep, depending on if sore or not)
T-Back (sometimes add bicep, depending on if sore or not)
W-Legs
Th-Shoulder
Fri-Bicep/Tricep
I will throw in calves, core and cardio here and there, I probably am not resting as much as I should be either. I usually take a week off from the gym every two months or so just so my body can heal up.
