bjj+bb?

Hi everyone!

As this is my first thread here i just want to start by saying that this is just the BEST forum i have ever seen! All categorics!

Any way, I just began training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and some Mui Thai and i just love it! But i also loves the weight-room.. So i was wondering if you guys think that its ok to train BJJ for 3 days and weightlifting for 2 days a week, or will it be to much?
I been trying this for a couple of weeks now and it has felt ok. But i dont realy now if the body needs more time to recover between the sessions for max results.. I eat all the time and quite healty food too, so im all good in that part anyway....

All answers, theories and alternative training programs are welcome!!

It depends what your goals are
but if you are just looking at gaining some extra strength to compliment your bjj, twice a week sounds ok to me
 
Sorry guys, I just read a thread that answered that (training for mma) I dont now how but I missed it some how.. But when I got this thread up anyway, I really appreciate all answers!
 
I trian bjj and kick boxing as well. I used to train weights 4 days a week and do bjj kb 3-4 days a week as well. But ive rencelty started weight training 3 days a week so I can do more cardio.
