Blast Log w pics- Deca Tren

I'm definitely still figuring out my numbers, but I think my bench is ready to start moving up. I might drop the 5x5 because its hard to guage what weight to use.

I would say so. You got more weight behind you no problem. Just watch the shoulder.

Personally I never liked the 5x5 for the exact reason. I like 3 sets of 5 and i just go up 5 lbs every week. Much easier to guage and to get stronger by microloading IMO.

Doing those rack Deads really kicked my ass today. Definitely noticed a drop in ability for the rest of the night.

nice work princess. Those rack deads are ugly at that height. I see so many guys doing from the pins at thigh level and I'm always like :wtf: is that supposed to be doing? lol

And, it may sound weird, as I am not a big advocate of the Smith, but doing BB rows on the Smith to me is so much more of a workout than doing em free. Just a thought if you wanna try them. It keep that movement so strict you get blasted. To me there is just too much play in the free motion when you start moving heavy weight. Just make sure your facing the right way. lol

Towards the mirror right?:D

As much as I hate the Smith machine and everything it stands for, I'll think about giving this a try.

i know. me too man. but it is a nice movement. I don't care how much I can lift on such a movement, so it doesn't matter as it kills the back.

OK I'll go ahead and try them on the smith machine if I can get all the little college kids off of it. Its always being used by the same guys who come up to me like "dude you've got some guns, how do I..." Then when I tell them to lift heavy and do the basics they say, "well I really just want to get toned, I don't want to get that big":gay:
As if it happens that easily.:wallbash: Wtf are you asking me for then?

That was the first split i did when i started training years ago. Legs and shoulders is brutal if you're killling it.

Nice work on those box squats. I gotta do squats again today. My legs are killing me still from Monday and tuesday. Maybe I'll do fronts. blah!!

Good job senor!

What made you switch to a new split?

I almost felt like I didn't hit my shoulders enough but kind of feel it today. With legs I'm still getting use to the volume.

I always feel a little retarded doing front squats. Instead you should do some Smith Machine 1/4 squats. I hear those will blow up your quads!

This is why^^^.

I was young and thought I knew everything. Although I would never do that spllit again, but back then at 17 years old is was a killer. Either way, my body doesn't like high volume. Took me over 10 years to realize that, but i guess that's better than never realizing huh?

thats cuz you are retarded. :wink2:

I love front squats. the hardest part about doing em is realizing the bar should travel on the same plane as during a back squat. Its the back angle that i see fucks up most peoples squats.

But you're right, i saw some guys doing widddddddde squats on the Smith the other day. All three were wearing those gay looking Vibram Five Finger shoes. :dunno:

Retarded, but still dead sexy:freak:

I don't know man, I'm thinking about switching to the one that used to be in your sig. but this has worked well for me. Although yours has a lot of the same movements.

Monday:
Squats 2 x 5
Leg presses 1 x 20 (pick 1 of the squats + the leg presses)
posterior core movement 2 x 10-20reps
oblique crunch 2 x 10
Calves Raise 2 x 10
heavy abs 2 x 20
Hanging Crunch 3 x 5

Tuesday:
Wide grip flat bench 2 x 6 (index fingers on the rings)
flat bench hammer grip db press 2 x 12 reps
tricep push downs 1-2 x 100reps.
db side laterals 2 x 10reps
db front raises 2 x 10reps
Standing Military Press 3 x 5 Heavy

Thursday:
Dead lifts (rotate variations each week) 2 x 5
posterior core movement 2 x 10-20reps
rows 2 x 4-8reps
Reverse grip narrow grip pull downs 2 x 8
Standing wide grip curls 2 x 12 reps
hammer curls or reverse curls 2 x 12reps
heavy abs 2 x 20reps

Saturday
Barbell Shrug 2 x 10
Reverse Barbell shrug 1 x 10
Behind The Back Wrist Curl 2 x 10
Wrist Roller x 3

Of course, my gym is only open during the week this month but I've got enough stuff at home to do the sat. workout. Maybe add conditioning on Sat. too. I can definitely see how you could get a lot stronger on this workout.

I love those Vibram shoes btw:gay:
They look like wetboots, like the guys are gonna go hop on a jetski out back.

that workout i had in my sig is still my fav. Actually the one I'm doing now is, but for a mass builder and strength builder that one is the cats meow hands down.

I
So I think the Tren is kicking in pretty well at this point. My veins in my arms at least are starting to get crazy.

Did the best I could with the pics, they look better live but wtf.

showoff. :biggthump

seriously, its been 4 years since I've actually done anything... a few of you guys are making me jealous with your cycles. lol

Sadly, those are the only parts looking ripped right now. I think the extra meat chili binge I went on yesterday and today has caught up with me. Either that or I'm holding water. Probably both. I weighed 258 tonight.

So what made you stop cycling, the kid? I guess you'll just have to live vicariously through the forum.

sort of. i was on heavy for the better part of four years with minimal breaks trying to get jacked... then deciding to compete.

Afterwards I just needed a break. Lost my biz, 1/2 my annual income, and the wife went back to work so we didn't see each other much. I was working long hours, things were just blah. The gym become nonexistent for almost a year.

After that i decided i needed to get back and then we got pregnant. Which was great. but i spent that time making sure she was cared for so again, it wasn't a priority. Once he was born I realized i wanted to be healthy inside AND outside. So i dicked around the next 6 months trying to figure out what I wanted, then found Cross FIt. It was great but i felt weak, so my boys over at 70s big hooked me up with a workout and thats what I am doing now.

Sometimes i get the 'urge' and think i need to be big again (not that I'm small), but then I see my son running around and realize I'm broken down enough already, i want to be able to run up and down the sidelines at his first SEC championship game.

So now its all about overall health. One things for sure... its great being able to tie my shoes or walk stairs without being winded, and fucking my wife for more than twenty minutes without begging her to get on top so i can get a breath. :D

And I can still kick the young guys asses that i train with. :biggthump

Sorry to hijack your thread with my story.

No worries man, that's some good shit. Kind of puts things in perspective. Everyone's got a story behind all this stuff and it's cool hearing different peoples experiences.

That kind of happened to me in reverse. I had successful business in construction that I had built by myself when the football dream ended. I stopped working out altogether and focused on the biz. Got pretty fat and started running, cycling, and doing the power endurance stuff. Next thing I know the economy tanks and everyone who loses their job gets into construction driving prices down. On top of that I had a major house fire with some insurance issues. Crazy girlfriends etc. So I rebuilt the house, shut down what was left of the business and went back to school. I figured why not get jacked while I'm at it.

i want to be able to run up and down the sidelines at his first SEC championship game.
That's some motivation right there!
