blood pressure meds w/gear?

so I had a visit with my doc today and apparently I have high blood pressure (195/90). she said she would like to put me on meds for it. I'm 6'1", 215, less than 12% BF, and do cardio 3 times a week. overall, my question is will BP meds conflict with my upcoming cycle I have planned(test/deca)? will it minimize my gains or be bad for me physically?

why push it ??? you could try it ..I d say short ester s incase you need to bail...but I m not a guru...

I take blood pressure meds and have never had a problem with aas but........ I originally started using them when I let myself get a bit overweight (5' 10", 230) I wasn't at a bad weight just not a "fit" weight. Lost 45lbs and never really had a problem again.
I am currently on doctor prescribed testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) but I still cycle. My BP is usually around 110/60 but I still monitor it constantly.

120/80 is the normal high. The upper number is your systolic rate and lower is your diastolic (at rest pressure). Diastolic is much more important than systolic. Are you sure your bottom # is 45? That's awfully low.

Take the meds and lower your pressure first. If and only if you get it under control would I then consider using aas. BP meds are not going to affect the gear or your progress but high BP will affect your health.

One thing to note about BP meds, it is not uncommon to need 2 different meds at the same time.

Yep,

I'm on 3 different BP meds. Hereditary I guess as all the males in the family have it and it finally got me...

No problems with TRT. Do NOT put it off... High BP left unchecked for too long can have serious consequences later in life...

i have hereditary high blood pressure. but my doctor said theres no issue with what im doing. but, i have heard from others its not wise to use it with those meds, but then again others do it while on it. IF, you have a cool doctor you can be open with about using gear, id ask. I've known my doctor since i was 5. But then again... we've done some rec's together hahaha, so i dont think it matters.

My testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) Doc knows I'm on the BP meds and I monitor my BP a couple times a week just to stay on top of it.

After a while you can feel when your BP isn't right...

I'm currently pushing 145-150 minutes of cardio per day (AM/PM split) prepping for my upcoming Sust/Tren/Drol Blast... ;) No current BP issues but I will definitely monitor it very closely on this blast.

Water retention & high BP don't mix well so I'll have to do more research on this...

thanks for the info bros. I guess I'll let the doc put me on meds but I think I could get my BP back down if I cranked up the cardio. guess I'll find out.

good man

I am currently having the same issues myself. The doc put me on Hydrochlorizide, which is a duiretic. Its odd because I have been checking my own bp and they are always fine. The minute I step into the docs office the bp goes up. I learned this is the common "white coat syndrome". Where seeing a doctor in a white coat or being in a hospital and actually raise your bp, and the mercury in the machine 6-9 points. (I was just in the docs office today, this is what I learned.)

I've heard that before Mcstabberson. Something about being in the Doc's office. LOL!

Sure glad Dentist don't take your BP cause I absolutely HATE going there! My damn palms even sweat walking through the doorway...

Cardio lowers bp overall, try and stay away from alcohol (I suck at this) as is raises estrogen, can aggravate gyno (if your prone) any kind of food with lots of sodium. Sodium causes your to retain water, its the excess water (alot of times) that is the root cause of hypertension. Energy drinks are also terrible for you in this aspect. Proper diet goes a long way. As far as gear goes IMO I think you should be fine if you can get your bp under control. If not like joshag stated long term risks include kidney failure, increase risk of stroke and or heart attack. The list goes on.
1 and 3 americans have high bp, its odd I researched and found that people who have never suffered from high bp from other countries develop hypertension when they move here. Must be a by product of living in America.

Along with the kidney and heart issues, my regular Doc told me that unchecked high BP can even cause your extremities to have to be amputated like diabetes...

THAT freaked me the hell out and made me get with it!

I was honest with my testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) doc from day 1. It's just a family thing for me also.
I also can "feel it" when it's not right so I check regularly. Best time for me to check is when I am at the grocery store with my kids. If that doesn't push it to the edge, nothing will.
