so ill be getting my precycle blood work done with the next week or two but i first id like some help. ill be getting the testind down through privatemedlabs and i was wondering what specifically i should be looking for pre c ycle. from what ive gathered its lips(not sure what that is), liver(what exactly with the liver?), kidney(as well ,what specifically?), RBC, hemocrit, estrogen, thyroid (what should be looking for with the thyroid?), cortisol(what should i be looking for with this?), good/bad cholestrol. also, is there a package they over that covers this?

for on cycle, all i need to check is cholestrom, rbc, and cholestrol right? ive also heard that using AI's can reduce your good cholestrol?

lastly, when i get this pre cycle test down, i get the same bloodwork done after my pct correct? if the numbres all go back to normal withina month or two, is it already to go back on or do i HAVE to time on = time off?

thanks. quite a bit of questions but im not trying to leave any room for grey area when it comes to health.

Most people here get female hormone panel, which is only $50. Shows your test, lh, complete blood count and estrogen. But if want to know cholesterol and other things male hormone panel should do, but its like 150.

Getting your blood work mid cycle to see if you need to adjust Aromatase inhibitor (AI) and how high your test & estro is.

Then 3-5 weeks after post cycle therapy (pct) to see if you've recovered.

Like Dexter said, if doing privatemdlabs get the female hormone panel covers almost everything you need. At checkout you choose the MALE reference ranges though so it gives you values for males not females. Mid-cycle and post-cycle (1month + AFTER PCT) get the same tests done yes. And even if your post-cycle labs are good, time off always = time on + Time on post cycle therapy (pct). that's to allow your endocrine system to maintain natural levels since too much exogenous test use can alter it and put you on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for life!

Your most important values would be total and free test (your natural test levels and free floating test in your body), LH and FSH (these determine the status of your HPTA and natural test production), estrogen to see if you're aromatizing a lot of test (too high and too low estrogen is bad), rbc (test and other compounds raise red blood cell count to unhealthy levels so if its high its blood drive time. High rbc leads to polycythemia which can cause the red blood cells to block capillaries ), hematocrit measures the volume the red blood cells take up in your blood. The lipids test covers LDL, HDL, total cholesterol, and triglycerides. Not sure which AI's would cause adverse effects on HDL but unless you have a pre-existing condition its not something you should worry about now since you should take a mid-cycle blood test and reassess how your protocol is working. Liver values I would say are a necessity with any oral compound but up to you with injectibles.

The thyroid, cortisol I believe are extra and not covered in the female hormone panel. If you're willing to pay the extra money, these would be good numbers to have but not mandatory unless you have pre-existing thyroid issues. Cortisol is a stress hormone. When released it helps with glycogen metabolism, gluconeogenesis, and activates anti-stress and anti-inflammatory pathways. Too much cortisol is catabolic though and can lead to atrophy of the muscle.

so tell me if im understanding this right, because im looking at the tests online. the female panels covers the estrogen, test, lf, fsh, rbc, and hemocrit. to get the thyroid + lipid profile with all that you need to g et the male hormone panel?

This is what I run pre and post cycle....

Total Testosterone
Free Testosterone (if Bioavailable T is unavailable)
Estradiol (sensitive assay for males)
LH
FSH
CBC
Comprehensive Metabolic Panel
Lipid Profile

Basically what Austinite mentioned is what you should get tested for and what the female hormone panel consists of except maybe the free test levels. I don't remember that being included only remember getting total test.

All you need to do is click on the left side blood tests, go down to female specific, get the female hormone panel $59.99 I believe (look for online coupon codes to save 10%) and when you put all your info in at checkout it will ask what reference ranges you want and obviously choose male ranges here
