Quick q about Tribulus.
Background
Im 28. 187cm (6 2') 95kg (~210lbs)
training 6 years gained 30kg (started at 63kg, skinny MF)
never trained with Richard (GEAR that is not Gere) ie no anabolics
Will consider it when stop gaining naturally.
So any how had some blood work done last year incl test levels.
Re did them again this year same lab, same time of the day, (fasting early am), only difference was last 2 months been using 3g of tribulus daily. Retested just to compare for curiosity sake.

Last year :
> total test 16.9 SHBG : 25 free test : 411 LH 3 FSH 2

This year
> total test 13.4 SHBG : 21 free test : 343 LH 4 FSH 2

All are within lab "normal" bell curve ranges.

What do you guys make of this? Is it the tribulus? I thought it had the opposite effect.
No real change in my libido or training. So far in the last year, especially since reading on these forums, unsubscribing to FLEX and going to gym less, I've made more gains than before ( ~ 7kg this year).

Apologies for the long post, and for placing it here. Didnt know where else to put it.

Any input is appreciated.

Jesus, that is horrible.

You're all worked up about nothing, the difference is test levels from these two tests is insignificant. One test last year and one test this year shows absolutely no trend. Both of your results were within the normal range, so you really don't have anything to worry about. Your body's test levels are always changing, depending on a large number of factors that you or I can't even comprehend. When we look at levels like this, the thing that matters is the range that your test levels are within, not a specific number from one trial. As stated before both of your were within the normal range, so you definitely dont have to worry about having a low test level at this point in your life.

Oh, and the tribulus? The tribulus does nothing.

there is no real evidence trubulis does anything. however a few guys i know in their 30's say they noticed a difference, in strength and libido..

I don't know.
:goof:

1) Tribulus is crap. I think that it may have raises serum testsoterone in some hypogonadal men. The problem? They still felt like shit and they were denied testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) because of the serum testosterone elevated by the Tribulus.
2) The total testosterone assay is, unfortunately, often inaccurate.
3) Free testosterone is the test to get. It is accurate and it is a better indicator->only free testosterone is 'active' in your system UPDATE: you got this one done. doh!
4) What are the ranges as provided by the lab? The absolute number is meaningless because different labs are calibrated differently.
5) That is awesome that you are natural and have done so well. You put many guys to shame that use gear without ever having trained natural with any success because of various reasons (ie haven't worked out, shitty training, shitty diet)

Hey thanx for the replies guys, appreciate the comforting words, and feedback. Tribulus did do something for me... it cose me money. So far thats all.. Oh well live and learn. Mranak, I enjoy reding your many many posts and feedback on this forum, so I appreciate your comments also. The free test range the lab quoted were 225-725 pmol/L
So my levels were in the "normal" range.
I primarily did these tests for curiosity, and also good to have baseline levels done in case I ever consider training with Richard Gear, or if when I'm older, decide on TRT.
:-)

PS this forum is great. many helpful, informative bastards here.
