Bulk then cut for fat strip?

Ladies,

quickie - I'm working with 3J trying to cut some fat which sits on my stomach brown fat - stuck like glue!! Annoying...

would it benefit me (personal experinces/opinions) to go on a bulk first to add more muscle, then hit cutting? 3Js diet is good yes don't get me wrong, but I'm just thinking of possibly the and most beneficial way around this...

It depends on your current state. I wouldn't advise anything without looking at you. You may not need to. But it's your personal preference, do you want more muscle?

Are you looking to add more muscle anyway? If that's the ultimate goal then yeah, bulk first. Isn't that what your Anavar (var) cycle was about?
 
I didn't gain much with var- I will do it again but next time I'm going on a higher dose as I didn't have any bad sides etc.
Just a general question really... Yeah with a bulk fat is obviously gained

Hi Frenchy :)

If your looking to gain more muscle than what u have now, then, yes u should do a bulk diet to do this.....
Be prepared to gain some fat as u gain mass.
But with the right diet u can gain mass with minimal fat... When doing the bulking diet there's no "Time frame" u should do it for, you & the mirror are your best judge, if u see your gaining too much fat, then the diet needs tweaking, by reducing calories, tweaking carbs. when your happy with the amount of mass u stop.

For me personally a split of 50C/30P/20F works well for me when trying to bulk.

Eating more protein than necessary won't make the existing amino acid pool any bigger > create more muscle..
Upping your carbs when bulking is more important... and u fill in the rest with good fats.

You only know how u look, but sometimes the way we "see" ourselves is not how others see us.. U should do a log, it will motivate u & we can follow your progress.

Just like to point out a little fact about BROWN FAT! Unless you are an infant you are not carrying brown fat! Ever notice how babys are little chubbers thats brown fat. Necesary for the first fase of human life. After this stage we produce white fat cells as there called. These are the Hungery little storage factorys we hate!

They are lazy also so they will grab all the lovely fat we digest floating in our blood stream BEFORE they will store carbs and protiens as energy. In fact it takes i believe the # is 25 calories spent to convert carbs or protiens into 3 cals of fat that can be stored.

Great post PB! But, actually adults do have some brown fat more in the upper chest and neck area. Scientists are trying to find ways of activating it in the belief that it can increase metabolism and help burn off the white fat.

This is correct and should mention it but it is minute and at a certain age we do not produce brown fat cells any longer. I was just researching this the other day and was fresh on my head so I thought I would mention it. The entire fat equation is rather intresting. When one studys the entire process from putting it in your mouth to digestion and storage!

Once fat is broken down threw digestion and absorbed threw the instestines it is then reasembled in a sense to be passed threw the blood stream looking to be stored as reserve energy. Wich is of no huge surprise or breaking news. But the process in wich this happens is what I found to be intresting. Pretty shity joke our body plays on us there.

I've read that younger, thinner people have more detectable brown fat than older heavier people..
Our bodies are a quite a complex machine for sure.

Yeah mrs p cracking back!! What's the best back exercises to really get it to show and come out??

In a word... Diet! She's lean and you achieve that mainly through diet. Unless you're a competitor getting on stage, exercise selection isn't that important. Just work on balance as everyones back (or any other body part) is unique and eat in the right manner for your goals.
