clomid and depression

i know somewhere i read how clomid brings depression. have any of you guys here been on clomid and actually felt more depressed. i know when i get off m all ready sad and i dont want anything fueling that depression. would nolva be better??? ANY OPPINIONS??

Yes, this is a side to Clomid.. as well as vision problems. Hence the reason I use Nolvadex and recommend it. I also throw in some DHEA to keep my mood and libido elevated... Just my 0.02
 
all the people who got depression is because the steroids not from clomid...
steroids are a hormons, when you are on cycle your hormons up and when you stop the cycle the hormons getting back to the norm or getting down the norm and thats what brings depression...
 
No, clomid can cause real depression in some. This is why a lot of us on here don't use it! We've tried it in the past, but the sides outweighed the benefit. Clomid gave me major acne and depression to the point of crying like a little kid. I have since cycled off several cycles omitting clomid with no such issues......
 
Agreed not a fan of clomid, and raz it's not necessarily the raised horomone levels that cause the depression but more how out of balance they are. Please correct me if I'm wrong but that was always my understanding. That's why, for me the depression seems to set in at the end of the cycle and continue into post cycle therapy (pct) when estrogen levels are rising and test is falling. Back to the point, I also favor nolva over clomid.
 
post justified. anyways so ya'll prefer nolva over clomid. i know last cycle i felt like a little vagina comming off but it didnt start till post cycle therapy (pct). and i used clomid. just wondering af anyone else has felt this before while using clomid.
 
true but i know clomid has a half life of a couple of days if im not mistaken. im just trying to avoid all possible sides

Fox, what sides would this negate?.. do u run Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) ,week one of cycle threw post cycle therapy (pct)? could u list yr post cycle therapy (pct)?.. thanks,best-
 
Ive tried the clomid and didnt feel any sides, no depression nor acne.
I didnt go high with it though, 150-100 mg first couple of days then 50 mgs for the rest of 4 weeks. Plus i was using human grade clomid from aventis, i dont know if that makes a difference.

kk well i just picked up some nolva. ill just use clomid for like the first week to jump start and finish with nolva for the remainder.

Boy I must be a happy mf cuzz I finished my cycle and used clomid and never got depressed. I just got done doing a 12 week cycle and i look awsom if i do say so myself. So I ask you what the fuck is there to be depressed about? I have also read that clomid can cause depression but I also think as soon as guys hear that they start expecting to get depressed just cuzz they read it some were. All i'm saying is don't be mind fucked and let that shit in your head. Just cuzz you read it don't mean it will happen to you.

i agree with you 100% MIND OVER MATTER. but i still want to stay clear of the depression as much as possible. i hate it

i run clomid throughout the cycle and 2 weeks after for the PCT...I never had any problem with depression. I think it varies from person to person
