Creatine on cycle? The truth please

Slave to the needle
I've heard it both ways. I've heard yes do it and I've also heard it's totally useless. I've always thrown in creatine off cycle to help maintain gains but never on. And anyone have knowledge on kre-alkalyn? I've heard this shit is great and also garbage. I've personally always stuck to mono and never had a complaint.

Creatine is creatine is creatine. Some mix better than others if you use them as a powder in a pwo, but other than that - it's all hype. I've used it on and off, and can see a slight (not Earth-SHATTERING) difference while on. I just hate the extra couple pounds of water messing with my ego.

Figured as much. Thanks wit as usual

Creatine works well for pretty much everyone, but the non-responders. To answer your qurestion, the answer is absolutely YES, you should use it on cycle...and off-cycle. There is no reason to ever go off. It is so damn cheap that anyone can afford to use it permanently. For a natural supplement, it is actually quite amazing. Most guys, if either a first time user or if the person hasn't used it in a while, will add between 4-8 lbs if bodyweigh. This weight is primarily I.M water, which looks exactly like muscle...and usually a smaller amount of sub-q water, although you can significantly cut down on sub-q water retention by using an ultra-micronized version of creatine, such as ultra-micronized creatine monohydrate. A 20 lbs gain on all your basic lifts in about 4 weeks is common. Muscular endurance will also increase substantially. Creatine is a supplement every BB'r should be using...alll the time. A small percentage of users are non-responders...because their body already produces enough creatine to saturate muscle cells, so additional creatine has no effect. You probably aren;t one of these people. Any supplement that only costs $5/month and makes you look visibly bigger and significantly stronger in just 4 weeks, is a no-brainer purchase.

Yep, for me it's worth 1-2 more reps on very set.

Also, I'm starting to notice that my injuries tend to happen at a much higher incidence when I've lost creatine saturation, so I have a hypothesis that the fullness in the muscle may help to warm the muscle up a bit earlier/easier. I'm never going off it again intentionally.

Due to creatine expanding your ATP stores.

Creatine works without a doubt, I use Creatine HCL myself and find my muscle to be a little fuller and harder and a little bit of gain in strength. I think creatine monohydrate is no good myself, as it only causes water weight gain and bloat, plus its like sandpaper when you take a shit, that's no good. I ran monohydrate for years and recently switched to HCL (concrete) and that stuff is great. I can notice a difference from when Im not taking compared to when I am.

You might have an intolerance to creatine monohydrate. About 10-15% of the population is a non responder to creatine but it sounds like an intolerance in your case. Creatine monohydrate though is the one that has hundreds of studies supporting it's use. All the others base their efficacy off those studies and usually fall short of any added benefit. Creatine monohydrate is the best and cheapest...unless someone like you is intolerant to it.

I take creatine for it's ergogenic effects. It also has many benefits for the mind. It's been implicated to have potential in regards to treating parkinson's. The only thing i don't like is the water retention. It's a personal thing. Try it out, and see if you feel it's worth it. I take it everyday for it's health benefits.

Recently i switched to a creapure brand(allmax) from GNC's generic and optimum. Waaaay better, less bloat/gastro issues, doesn't taste like shit, and the crystal's are much finer so it mixes a lot better. Always invest in quality, it almost always pays off in the end. Didn't think creatine was worth all the hype until i switched brands. It's 20$ for 2.5 lbs.

I have so much of that shit lying around bro and haven't even used it. I have like 10 jars from olympia

Thanks guys for all the input. I have more creatine than I know what to do with right now I guess it's time to jump on board haha

Oh without a doubt I do, I get super bloated to the point I look like im rockin a GH gut, lol, it works no doubt but like you say I must have an intolerance. HCL however Im golden with, it works great without any problems.

Do you have Mono or HCL bro?? Either way creatine works, I just find with HCL its more quality gain with less water retention, I get on er though for sure, and some guys respond extremely well to creatine, I know people who have put on 10lbs from creatine alone.

Curious as to why you don't use it?

I think Austinite is in the cruise/blast/TRT, something like creatine pales in comparison to the performance enhancement you can get from hormones and peptides. That's just my guess.

I also get bloated a bit on creatine. I lose a lot of my gorgeous jawline and cheekbones <3 <3 <3, fucking sucks. Still trying to find a way around that. I feel like a piggy. Everyone is different though, and i have been taking in a lot of salt lately.

Creatine causes hbp issues in some. It raised my bp substantially when I was off cycle. This totally blows for me... :(
