I doubt the dextrose would turn you diabetic lol. It does have ALA in it anyways which techincally would decrease your chance of being one.
I see no reason of why long term creatine was bad. Its found naturally in meats. I guess theres the kidney thing about super high levels of creatine or protien stress the kids too much..but come on...how much are you taking? 300 grams?
Basically this is my formula for a creatine recipie.
20G creatine
300mg rALA or 1000mg ALA
40G malodextrose (plenty)
If post workout, raise the malo to 80 and add in 50g protien.
BTW...its CreatinePhosphate (CP) not vice versa
The pathways of engergy in a muscle are...ATP>CP>Glycolysis>Oxidation
From that logic, I wouldnt recomend Creatine when dieting, but alot do anyways. I think it is good to take on or off, but only PW. I dont take it currently, but I may get soem more...ran out. I usually went with about 20g in my PW shake only.
