Cutting out soda and other garbage. Any tips?

So I'm getting my diet cleaned up so to speak. I'm eating a lot more fruits and veggies, more than I ever have before. One thing I've struggled with was the greens, always been a picky eater when I was younger.

I'm going on two years without drinking any sort of energy drink, but my biggest problem lately is soda and the other sweets. I had a handle on it but I lose it every once in awhile. I drink water all day at work and most of the time at home. I'm pretty sure of myself when it comes to the candy and stuff, that won't be a problem. The soda on the other hand.

I'm wondering if there is anything I can maybe substitute for it. I don't know if it is the sugar or the burn of the carbonation that I like more, maybe it's a mix of both. Maybe flavoring my water?

I'm open to suggestions. Hopefully this post isn't too sporadic, I'm at work and I'm trying to type it out as quickly as I can.

Thanks

so the major issue with replacing soda is most carbonated drinks that are flavored and have no sugar have sugar alcohols present.. these sugar alcohols are not the best thing for your health.. if you can flavor your water with fruit, lemon, lime, cucumbers then thats your best bet

Gotcha, I will pick up a few lemons and limes from the store tonight and give it a shot tonight and tomorrow. Natural fruit sugars are better than the refined junk

when you flavor your water with fruit by just putting it in there the amount of fruit sugar you get is virtually nothing
