DC Training

Just an FYI for those thinking about starting DC training...its awesome. PB, Ive included a little of your revised split and my lifts are taking off. Steadily gaining every week.

Quick question: I do squats for one of my 3 leg days in the rotation. I do a straight set of 8, then a straight set of 4. Im doing these with a nice fluent rep speed, NOT slow as per DC's program. Would you recommend I slow up the negatives during my sets? Im really not feeling worked after 2 sets. Thanks!

add more weight. =0) i have dropped the 2 sets and gone to 1 all set on the quad movements and heavy posterior work. more changes to come. sorry in-human.

Dougoe, glad to hear you're on in the Dogg Pound bro! I started with Dante three months ago and so far he's put 20lbs of lean on me. Well, I guess I helped a little. ;)

As far as squats and rep speed goes, you just need to keep the weight in control. Nice smooth motions. Don't worry about the slow ecentric on these. As PB said, more weight! The 1 all out set sounds interesting.

There are trainees who do just one set of Squats PB, so its a development thing for your Quads, if you are a hard gainer we go another way, easy gainer one all out set after warm ups is fine, most trainees do fine with the heavy set of 8-12 then the heavier set of 4-8, which usually comes out to being one set 8 then a set of 4, for the worksets.

No bouncing at the bottom when Squating, always control the weight, of course with RP worksets we concentrate on the negative aspects but for Quads we do not RP the worksets...
