i am not in any way new to training, but to dead lifts i am. i hear tell that dead lifts, a great core lift helps with "overall" development is this true and if it is please, some input
this is true...im new to them as well..well relativly new to them...done with good form and a moderate weight..they are very taxing and will give you a full body pump/workout...normally it takes me a bit to start really sweating while lifting...but on the day i do deads...by the second set and i do them first..im dripping for some reason..lol, well enough rambling..DEADS KICK ASS when you get the form down
most peoples tendency is to round their back(i include myself) once you break that habit your back will be fried after a couple sets of heavy deads... and just a quick pointer if you put to much weight on and think you can throw the weight up you will be in a world of pain my buddy did it and now his back is shot
Deadlifts along with squats are the best overrall exercises for you considering your whole body is involved in the movements. When i started deads i began ot realize how much my traps, lower back, abs, and hams benefited from this movement.
I have 2 prolapsed disc in my lower lumbar, a long term non weights injury, and for years I was apprehensive about doing dead for that reason. When I finally started doing them last year, my back has been the best its been in a long time.
Those who are about to dead, salute you...
